  1. For the record, I have no problems with this free site. Keep up the good work! 8-)
  2. Born and raised in the Austin area....Welcome to BR. BTW, depending on where you fish, its already spawn. Already spawned femme from Bastrop this past weekend.
  3. Just wondering.... You got exotics in Mexico and got them across the border how? Now its been a while since I crossed at the border towns down here, but the last time there were a few newbies that bought some exotics and tried to cross at the border check and not allowed to bring them back across. So, just wondering...... I wear old Noconas! 8-)
  4. To quote Ray Wylie Hubbard... "But when it comes to music my friend I believe these words are as true as St. John the Revelator's Our Mr. Vaughan was the best that there ever was And no band was cooler than the 13th Floor Elevators." "homeritis".
  5. Just wait until you see "texting" grammer and spelling contained within a resume. ;D Yes, I have. : Resume Nazi, 'No interview for you.'
  6. Whats the griping all about? 28 days of lake probation, big deal. In a reverse..... In Texas, its a $2000 fine for each separate piece of hyrdrilla. Don't drive from the parking lot before a thorough check.
  7. 6th gen Texan. A little further back reveals some Dutch.

  9. A blast from the past....... Lance Rentzel. My first disappointment.
  10. Broke 3 ribs when I slipped on wet carpet and hit the gunwale. Ouch!
  11. Me thinks its the jet stream that brings us most of our weather.
  12. Come to the state with good fishing and friendly folks..... You might feel at home somewhat down here. We have all varieties to choose from within a 75 miles. Smallies - Belton, Stillhouse, Travis, Georgetown (personal best is 5.5lbs from GT) Largies - everywhere Walleye - Travis, Georgetown (personal best is 2.5lbs from Travis) Northerns - Lady Bird (state record of 18+ lbs) Stripers - Tailraces of Austin, Travis and Lady Bird. Granted, the walleye and northerns are very scarce and smaller than up yonder but a surprise to catch. Where abouts in Canada are you from? I have relatives in NW Ontario. Was just up there this past summer.
  13. If I ask a mid-westerner a question of global warming in the winter, can they ask us about it in the summer?
  14. An effect of global warming is extremes in weather. Not saying that GW is the cause of this but...... Our highs for the this week....... Sunday - 81 degrees Monday - 48 Tuesday - 78 Todays forecast high - 46
  15. There nothing like seeing text meassaging shorthand on a resume. ;D ;D ;D :

Government says that tobacco is addictive. Government subsidizes tobacco farmers. Government is The Pusher Man! In our great state of Texas, they just increased the cig tax to pay for childrens health care..... The state calls it a sin tax. The state basically said to sin for the childrens sake. The state also hopes it drives people to quit. See the irony!
  17. I know you asked for replica mounts but here is the skin mount that Keller did for reference. Its now 16 years old. Caught on L Austin. She was going to die if released. So I kept her. Never certified but weighed 10+ on the handheld. Probably closer to 9.
  18. That graph looked like a Tinker Toy creation. Hmmmm......ironic?
  19. They are cooling ponds for power plants. Water is warmer than other lakes. In the dead of winter down here, you can still find 70-80 water coming out of the power plant. But in summer, its 102 air temp and 105 water. I ain't kiddin'!
  20. Give Louis a call. I'm not sure if he does replicas or for that matter, from pics but it doesn't hurt to ask. His skin mounts are way too cool. I have one on the wall from 15 years ago and still looks top notch. And if you get a chance to go out to his house/studio, check out his coffee table. KELLER CUSTOM FISH MOUNTS 512-288-1506. 8901 La Fauna Path Austin, TX 78737
  21. Just wait for the inevitable PPV for football.......its coming. > For me, its going to be a great radio game! BTW, way to go promoting your league with only 1/3 of the nation being able to get the game. ;D And no, I'm not going to a bar to watch. I'm treating that evening like it was New Years Eve if you know what I mean. Go Cowboys!
  22. What you ain 't got is scorpions and fire ants; we down here in the deep south got those plus rattle snakes, black widow spiders, bumble bees and them 1 1/2 inch red wasps that have more firepower than an Apache helicopter with attitude. tarantulas, coral snakes, mocs, red ants(not so much anymore), yellow jackets, Even the plant life down here has to be in the back of your mind..... prickly pear, mesquite, bull nettle..... Texas!
  23. Matt, Comorants can be hunted on private waters as long as TPW has determined they are a nuisance on that particular water. Permit is required.
