A hunter just bagged his deer as the game warden walked up. "Where's your license," asked the warden. "Don't know," said the hunter. "OK, you're under arrest for no license. Follow me to the road, and help me drag the deer," said the warden. "No way," said the hunter. "You drag it." Two hours later, after the warden had dragged the deer to the road, the hunter said, "Now I remember, my license is in my back pocket!"

I am guessing TF's parents would have some serious issues with him traveling cross country with strangers to fish for a week. Otherwise I would pick him up in the BassBus, he's on my way. Ronnie Well, I dunno....He IS from West Virginia after all..... LOL I resemble that remark...lol ;D

Ha, if only he was into fishing as much as me, maybe that would work. Oh well, we're going trout fishing in the mountains last week of October, maybe I can convince him.

Well, the good news is I'll have my license by the end of this week. Bad new is, I don't think my parents will let me drive from West Virginia to Alabama by myself to fish with people I met on the internet for a week. ;D Maybe in a few years.

Nice one Ghoti I think it's funny when I hit a local pond. I fish with senkos and other soft plastics as well as other soft and hardbaits, while most of the "fair weather" fisherman as I call, use nightcrawlers and bobbers. Now, they aren't old, only about in their 30s, but I'll be catching fish on every other cast with artificials and they'll give me the oddest look, like, "How is this kid catching them all?"

I am willing to do whatever it takes to have this dam restored, if that means raising money through fundraisers, door to door, etc. I feel like a politician. ;D I do plan on looking at what you said, LBH, at the potential report the city might have.

My opinion, I haven't hired an engineer to inspect it yet, plan on doing that this month.

Well, the thing is, the dam isn't big at all, and the only real costs will be digging out some of the area that has regrowth of trees and brush, and replacing the length section of the dam. The core structure of the dam is fine.

Wanted to post some recent information: I've spoke with the local State Senator for Putnam County and Congresswoman Shelley Moore Capito about the project, and they both have directed me in right direction. What I'm going to need to do from here is to get in touch with the local Corp. of Engineer's office and the DEP and find out what regulations are in place, and how much money I need to gather.
