    Go Avid!
  2. Live minnows or white rooster-tails.
  3. I'm not really sure what kind, they almost look like they have a flathead, of course like the flathead catfish, but I think they are bullheads.
  4. Here's an easy one: what is the cross between a hybrid striped bass and a white bass called?
  5. Those are some BIIIIG fish! Way to go!
  6. Surprisingly, I only used some earthworms on a hook with a cigar bobber about 2 ft up. We were fishing along some downed timber. I don't know if they are spawning or what, I thought catfish spawned later in the year? :-? I also have had some success with chicken liver in this area as well.
  7. I thought you guys might want to see some pictures of some cats me and my friend caught recently. Catfishing is really beginning to heat up around my area. How is everyone doing for cats?
  8. Great job, but better watch that first pic of the cat, he might bite your face!
  9. Hey everyone, I went to do some fishing with my friend at my usual fishing spot, a large creek that flows into a large shallow pond area. I went armed with some live minnows I caught with a net from a much smaller creek. After we caught about 16-18 minnows, we headed out. After we reached our destination, I started off throwing my go-to lure for the area, a white 3 inch senko. On my first cast while waiting for my friend, I caught a little bass. After my friend reached my area, we started throwing the minnows. On my first cast with a medium sized minnow, I hooked into this guy. It wasn't huge, but it gave up a decent fight. After we fished for a while longer and caught some smaller fish, I hooked into this lunker. Overall, it was a good trip, and I plan on going back pretty soon. So far, my personal best for the area is this nice fish I caught on a soft plastic worm. Thanks for looking! TF
  10. I have seen this before, but I still enjoy it.
  11. Wow...those are some chunky fish! I noticed you caught a pickerel...I've never caught one of those. Good job!
  12. Ouch! That's a skinny fish. Do you have any other fish that skinny in the area you fish? It may be some sort of disease affecting the fish in your lake. If not, it may just be the fish.
  13. Who's hunting who? ;D
  14. Sheeeoooooot! What a twister!
  15. Yes. Now, since that is correct, then you post a new question.
  16. Alright guys, time for a new game. This will be a fishing trivia game. I got the idea off of a board game. The rules are simple: one user will post a...guess what...fishing question! Another user will attempt to answer. If they get it right, they post a question for the next person. I'll start it out. What does the O in a 9/O hook stand for?
  17. lol,....NOPE! Heh...that just shows it is photoshopped. You clearly doctored it up, stuck it in the frame, and hid the real picture next to the email I sent you for the 9,000 member video that you "couldn't find" ;D Just jokin' with ya
  18. I vote yes. And as always for bedders, r-e-l-e-a-s-e! It's ok to keep some smaller bass every now and then to have for a good meal, but not during spawning. It interferes with the process of having more fish to catch!
  19. ;D I remember that guy.
  20. No need to apologize, my friend. As long as you don't overharvest fish, keeping a few every now and then is good. Nice fish!
  21. I don't know if there is trout in the New or not. I haven't ever went for them there. My favorite trout fishing spots are the Williams River, the Cherry River, the Greenbrier and Knapps Creek. As far as Southern WV, I don't get down that way a whole lot for trouting, but isn't Second Creek down that way, or am I mistaken?
