  1. This is the definitely the one! The one that is not catching fish! Seriously, I don't care to fish extremely deep. Taking a chance of killing the fish, bringing them up.
  2. Indy just got thumped, period. I thought the Chargers were in for the same type of thrashing, so I turned the game off at mid third quarter. Amazing comeback I missed! Can they beat the Chiefs???
  3. A-rig? Doesn't count! JK!!! My turn!
  4. A couple was Christmas shopping at the mall on Christmas Eve and the mall was packed. As the wife walked through the mall she was surprised to look up and see her husband was nowhere around. She was quite upset because they had a lot to do. Because she was so worried, she called him on her mobile phone to ask him where he was. In a calm voice, the husband said, "Honey, you remember the jewelry store we went into about 5 years ago where you fell in love with that diamond necklace that we could not afford and I told you that I would get it for you one day?" The wife choked up and started to cry and said, "Yes, I remember that jewelry store." He said, "Well, I'm in the tackle shop right next to it."
  5. Wild guess here, does she more resemble her mother?
  6. Scott F has it! ^^^ Bass are opportunistic predators. If it moves (or not) they will try to eat it. They also may quickly spit it out. As to weight, usually when someone says 3/8 oz they are talking about the jig head itself.
  7. You have all the info above that you need. That is a beautiful fish. In the first pic the flash has washed out the markings on the lateral line. Those are what really distinguish any bass. A good artist will at least try to get that right. Good thing they are evident in the last pic. I have seen replicas where an "artist" has just put a bunch of random splotches down the side. No bueno!
  8. Nanofil casts really well. Need to tie a leader, though.
  9. Very nice, and in winter! You are now tied with me on spinnerbait fish. Certain baits I just cannot seem to catch fish on!
  10. My first reel was a Wondercast. Still have it but it is not in usable condition. My oldest fishing outfit is a Cane Pole. Three piece, I think.
  11. Was palomar, now a Uni convert. Why all these San Diego knots? Palomar Mtn is in SD county. I know the SD Jam originated on the offshore boats.
  12. Sounds like you are going to be able to fish more!
  13. I recently saw this and thought, I will have one! I love killing flies, and I love shooting.
  14. Jingle All theWay deserves more that honorable mention!
  15. From official source, seems that estimate is gone. Now there is no official word as to the opening. Original estimate was between 2014 and 2017. Will likely be the best lake in the USA when it opens. http://www.sdfish.com/forums/threads/san-v-status.146707/#post-353074
  16. I am in San Diego and fished yesterday, pre-frontal. It was no bueno! If you have good rain gear, you should fish the storm, provided there is no lightening and the wind is not too bad. Throw big baits!
  17. I throw my 168 on my Ardent Denny Brauer swimbait rod, 7'6" heavy. No problem. Pretty sure I could throw it on a jig stick.
  18. What is a golf club??? What is a golf, and why does one need a club to dispatch it?
  19. Giant Catfish in the rocks around dams. Heard it too much for it to be a myth. Probably why they don't let us fish next to the dams.
