They are not that small, at least not any more. DFG is famous for stocking the bass food. Lakes out here have been stocking some monster trout. The guys throwing those baits are one bite guys. Most keepers have it backwards. They keep the big ones and throw back the little ones. over 12" and under 16" would be about right. Leave the babies and the big fighters and spawners!
