  1. I'm probably going to buy my first boat this year. It will be used on Lake Barkley in KY which most of you know is a large impoundment. I have been told I'd be best served looking for a good used fiberglass boat. The opinion was that fiberglass would be more sturdy and stable for a large impoundment. Of course the new Stratos caught my eye due to the seemingly great price. It seems underpowered at 50HP but I think its available with 75HP also. Just seeking thoughts and opinions from the experienced about which way to go and what the word is on the new Stratos.
  2. Given Mr Iverson's talents and good fortune to be where he is, it is JMHO that he should "PRACTICE" being a better role model for the youth that look up to him!
  3. You can do it on line but have to set up your account there. On the left side of their web page is a "Community" section. Under that there is "your account". Click on that and you can get set up from there. It wll show your points and their value.

  14. I don't know about the other schedules but my Vols opened the year vs a higly touted Cal team and beat em pretty soundly. We play Cal again next year and the following year we have NC State and UCLA both on the scedule. That along with all the SEC rivals makes a pretty formidable schedule.
  15. AHEM........9 of 12 schools going to bowls this year....not too shabby......no doubt OSU is favored and should be but when it comes to depth of quality teams its tough to beat the SEC.....Just a humble opinion from The Big Orange Nation.....GO VOLS!!!!!!!!
  16. AMEN BROTHER!!!!!!!!!!!!
  17. I wonder if Avid is gonna be in charge of entertainment at The Fork....... Thanks KU......That is pretty funny
  18. I miss wearing orange on Saturdays and driving to Knoxville :'( After last years debacle this year was a treat for us....watch out Nittany Lions.....Tampa's gonna be swarmin with orange on New Years Day I think a playoff is a pipe dream and it is a travesty that it does not exist but who am I......just one of millions of fans and paying customers who are clamoring for a playoff Gators vs OSU.......GO SEC....(I hate myself too Hookem)
  19. Great work Stratosdadri.......anything outdoors for the kids is the way to go!!!!! WELCOME ABOARD!!
  20. quHehe...I don't think I've ever heard RW quote his 12lb and 6lb Ultra soft lines without listing the breaking strength as well. I will suggest a good 12lb Copolymer such as Pline CXX or the new Evolution. Hybrid is also a choice, but I like the regular versus the ultra soft due to the better clarity and less stretch. Yep, RW is the reason I'm using the the ultra soft. Glad he touts it here as I really like it. An example of good info shared here.....wouldn't surprise me if he has a bit more info about it
  21. I would go with either power pro or suffix if you choose braid. I think you will find that most folks here prefer one of those two when it comes to braid. I have used power pro on one of my baitcasters and have been pleased but am going to give suffix a try also. I am also using yo zuri hybrid ultra soft (6# on spinning gear ans 12# on baitcasters). It is rated for a higher lb test (I beleive the 6 is actually about 11# and the 12 about 19#) and is rather abraison resistant. I have been really happy with it.
  22. AMEN...from a member of the BR choir
  23. Best wishes to all.....great news Catt
  24. Hey Ronnie, Just tell Muddy that the Garmin girls name is Ms. Shimano, that way you can be sure he'll leave it alone and you'll have no worries
  25. I went to a falconry demonstration this past summer. I did learn you have to be licensed to own a bird. I beleive it is a pretty hard process as there are not that many folks licensed. Keeping a bird seemed rather demanding. It is a fascinating sport and the birds are amazing. Everything the birds do is based on feeding. If the bird is full it will not respond or hunt. In the old days the birds were trained to hunt game and the falconer would trade smaller bits of food for the birds prey (something like that). Different types of hawks were or are used in different ways. Check the below link, it has alot of good info http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Falconry
