  1. Here you go http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/159228616X/qid=1136165937/sr=8-1/ref=sr_8_xs_ap_i1_xgl14/103-8276040-2971014?n=507846&s=books&v=glance I bought mine at Bass Pro, but it cost $17.
  2. Here is a sponsorship deal from the ABA, maybe it can help you some http://www.americanbassanglers.com/billheardsecialoffer.php
  3. Has anyone read "Knowing Bass The Scientific Approach to Catching More Fish"? I bought it today, and just started reading and it is pretty interesting, alot of good information. It will probably take a couple reading before I catch most of the information and remember the fancy wording.
  4. I used a band saw, it seemed the scroll saw bounced to much. I think it was the scroll saw that was bouncing, but for sure the band saw worked.
  5. I've used them, and they are great. I got the stick mold. Be careful when pouring the mold can get warm.
  6. The same video is posted by Bassman right above your message. They might make some fun target practice
  7. How did you secure the line tie to the lures lip?
  8. Thats crazy how those fish are jumping in, and not just a couple of fish. Is that the "Top Gun" theme song playing in the background in parts of the video
  9. Here is a Loc-R-Bar. http://www.locrbar.com/?from=***
  10. Like justtrying said PVC pipe, it makes a great fish attractor, and it will last a long time.
  11. I tried to learn to flip/pitch with my left hand and became alright at it, but found it was easier to reel with my left and continue flipping with my right hand. Although the little skill I have flipping with my left hand is a major advantage when fishing co-angler, sometimes that right handed flip will not work. I am 100% with you, switching the rod to another hand to reel will hurt your overall performance.
  12. When setting the hook, I am always reeling unless I am flipping and pitching. When I am flipping and pitching the fish usually takes a little bit before coming out of the cover, so I will pull him out with my rod while reeling up the slack line. Otherwise I continue reeling and setting the hook at the same time. One good example is with crankbaits, there is alot of slack line between the fish and myself. I don't do a hard hookset, but more of a gentle swing, because of this I continue reeling to be sure all the slack is out of the line making sure I do get a good hookset.
  13. Flipping -Rod: 7'-7.5' -Lures: Jigs and Texas rigged plastics such as worms, tubes, lizards... -Line: 12-80 pound test, braided and flurocarbon lines work great When flipping it is mainly done in thick cover when you are making alot of flips at the same target. It is best done in the muddier water since you will be fairly close to the fish. The reel is not engaged. Pitching -Rod: 6'-7.5' -Lures: Same as flipping -Line: Same as flipping When pitching you are picking off targets that are spread out along the bank, or the water is clear. If the water is clear pitching works best since you can back off from the fish. Works great with isolated cover, and when you are driving down the bank. 14. Hey Raul, Lucky Craft Live Pointers only $16.59!!!. Oh man, how about those Osprey Talon Inline 6" Heavy Swimbaits, buy 5 or more and they only cost $10 each a $6 savings per bait! Check this out http://www.***.com/closeouts.html ;D
  15. LOL at "I didn't fish as mush as I was supposed to..." Sorry about that Raul, but that phrase mad me laugh pretty good As for myself I had an alright year. I never did catch that giant fish or even alot of bigger fish. I did great for tournaments and broke even which is a first for myself. I think my biggest this year might of touched 5 pounds. Next year i hope to catch at least a 7 pounder, and some more smallmouth. Maybe the ice will melt and I can catch a years pb still....
  16. I would recomend going to school, at least for a back up plan. Maybe something with the Coast Guard would be good working with the environment?
  17. What do you catch those bass on?! All I can ever catch are some crappie.
  18. If you go with the Lowrance GPS, you might as well add on another $100 for a chip holding the maps of lakes. Otherwise you will only have Map Create which won't show much. I am not sure what all you can do with only the gps, mine is back ordered :'(
  19. Wow, that can be tough. I would tell him how much you appreciate his help and how generous his offer is, but that your heart is set on a bass pro instead of saltwater. Good luck on the tour!

1st of all it depend on how big your snake phobia is. Roadwarrior sounds like he can stay cool and beat the snake with a paddle. Others might need the gun to blow the snake to pieces before it gets close. 2nd of all it depends where you live and what kind of snakes. If you live in Florida, a gun might be handy especially bank fishing when there are big snakes. Just look at this picture...

How about the "Snake Slayer" made by Bond Arms? http://bondarms.com/index.html
  22. Sure you can pitch the drop shot, just use some heavier line and a bigger hook with the plastics texas rigged. I have caught some fish pitching it around docks.
  23. On all the lakes that I fish you can cull the fish, and continue fishing throwing the smaller one back so you only have 5 fish in the boat or whatever the limit is. Somewhere I heard of a lake that says if you have 5 fish in the livewell your done fishing, but the tournaments just have a 4 fish limit so you can cull. The Kansas Federation is thinking about making the weigh-in exciting. Instead of person to measure fish from the club, they are looking to have Wildlife Park Rangers do the measuring. I bet you won't see anymore short fish. A short fish will get you disqualified and a ticket.
