Most of the time the bottom of the frog that a fish will see are all the same. The different colored tops are to catch you. I fish, black, white and then something that I think looks neat, typically some form of green.

But if you ever run short of money you still have plenty to fish with.

I honestly need to stop. I am trying to reorganize and use what I have. I just need to fish more. I have gotten bad and only fish about 50 days a year. Most of those are 3-4 day at time excursions. I need to get back to the times where I fished every day for months on end. Not sure what happened. Probably lack of people to fish with.

I have 2 different groups I fish with. One group all fun fisherman everyone throws $1 in, biggest fish of the weekend wins. 2nd group all tournament anglers. standard $3 bet in each boat. $1 for first fish, $1 for biggest and $1 for most. I can tell you there are some framed $1 bills that are signed because of who lost the dollars.

Is the same brand jig as the 1/2 Oz you typically use? Same trailer? Is the hook beefier than your 1/2 Oz?

I have premiers that are 20 years old that I still use on every trip out. Not one failure to date.
