  4. We have a real good program here at NC State, but yea focus on your maths, sciences, and english. You will be taking alot of sciences so its a good idea to take as many as you can.
  5. I cant get the ranking thing to work I went to edit preferences, rankings and chose the ones i wanted to be ranked in and clicked update is there anything else I need to do to get it to work?
  6. Personally I love my pflueger president and unlike yours my reel spins forever. It has never let my down, and i have caught a 7 pounder on it. But I have also used my friends symetre and was thinking about buying one to go along with my president, so I would say either one of those two.
  7. Im more into the plymouths myself, heres my 1972 road runner, not quite the most desirable year but also not the most expensive lol. My all time dream car would deffinately have to be the 1970 road runner http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2162907
  8. I just recently bought some fat ikas and used them when I went fishing with my buddies who used minnows I ended up catching 7 on the ikas, 1 of my buddy that was using minnows caught 7 and the other one that used minnows caught 6 i had them rigged backwards and weightless and were the chart/watermelon color these things are magic!!!

  13. Lane, sorry about taking so long I havent checked this section for a while, about the AFS, I have only been in school for a few weeks now so I have not had time to join the club, but yes we can join through the school and the fisheries club at our first meeting I just didn't have the cash with me but I plan to do so next tuesday at our meeting. So to be honest with you I am not really that sure about what their guidelines state, so I don't think as of right now my opinions would be very educated. BTW what state are you in?
  14. Today I along with two other students, one professor, and four biologists shocked a section of the Eno River looking for Roanoke bass. It was the first time that I had ever been electrofishing and boy was it a blast. Don't get me wrong it was hard work carrying everything up and down the trails, when I got home I jumped right in the bed and took a nap haha. We got to the river at about 9 and they ran through everything and how the machinces worked and the safety precautions and then we got started. The stretch we did was at some parts pretty rocky and shallow with tons of hydrilla, and even there we found fish it was awesome. We ended up collecting 60 roanoke bass which were measured, weighed, tagged, and had scale samples. We saw so many different kinds of fish like largemouth, bluegill, green sunfish, different kinds of catfish, chub, crawdads, fathead minnows, and probably some more that i can't remember. But anyways, the point of my story is that if any of you young guys out there are wondering what to do with your life(like me) and what you want to be when you grow up and are interested in fish, fishing, aquatic life or anything like that fisheries is deffinately a program you should look into. Im only 18 and a 1st year college student, but from what I can tell it is going to be a great field to work in and I have really enjoyed my experiences so far and im sure anyone that gets into it will too
