  1. BPS crankbait 5 packs run around $15 and will cover a lot of bases. Buy a pack of Squarebills, crankbait assortment, topwater and lipless baits, and one of jerkbaits. A few of each type of jigs (football, flipping, structure, swim, shakey head) and a few types of plastic trailer (chunk, swimbait, swimming craw). Some plastics are a good idea, I would go with stick worms and finesse worms. Also, a few different spinnerbaits are good too. Booyah offers good options. Get some in shad hues and blacks, and mix up blade combinations. That should about cover it.. For a bag... I would look at the XPS Backpack.. They sell them w/or w/out boxes and they hold a lot of stuff.
  2. These and...YoZuri 3DB Deep BPS XPS Deep Diver BPS XPS Shad-A-Lac Deep Bandit 300 Lucky Strike Freak Deep Norman Deep Little N
  3. I don't fish any goby water, but can see how it would be a problem.
  4. Some guy I know likes it because he says he can grip of better. I don't, but I like straight cork, so...
  5. I've never fished either reel, but if I were gonna buy one, I'd give my money to Daiwa. Their other reels feel more solid IMO
  6. May have been SK... I think they sold a couple mold rights to BBB..
  7. Actually just joined on TT!
  8. I don't think people will ever understand proper handling. It irks me off to watch guys on tv or photos online with improper handling. Touching their scales, causing damage to their slime coating, distorting their jaws, which often causes bass to be unable to eat and die. Just gets me... Sorry about the rant.
  9. Kinda a threw hack, but I'm gonna connect this to the recent tournament on Toho.. Think you could've beaten the pack fishing like this Dwight? I bet you could've!
  10. What are the 'facts'? Not meant in offense, just a clarifying question.
  11. I don't think that's a correct presumption about southerners.
  12. Oh, alright! Sorry, no offense meant!
  13. Same here, so I'm not sure.
  14. BB1 Pro is centrifugal breaking... Tournament Pro is dual breaking.. Depends on what you prefer.
  15. The tatula is not $100.. Not at retail.. So I don't think they are apples to apples... Also, you probably got a lemon.
  16. Was that a joke? There's bass in all 48 continental states.
  17. Temp, resident fish, oxygen, warmth holding cover, bait/forage... All of these attract fish to be shallow in winter.
  18. Anything in the MH power range w/enough back one to set the hook would be good. As for a revo, anything with a 7+ retrieve to take up slack would be good.
  19. Maybe we should verify that with Mike McClelland?? Lol
  20. I don't think I've spent $100 or more at DSG in my lifetime..
  21. I felt up a Tatula in a store, and it felt solid. If I ended up buying another brand for all my reel needs besides Lew's, it would easily be Daiwa. I'll probably start buying then afte my Lew's wear out.
  22. Definitely important to keep safety in mind. We love the outdoors, but fishing and hinting aren't worth dying for. Be smart.
  23. Probably.... Still better than their gimmicky Edge series.
  24. I own a Cabela's Tournament ZX (A Lexa Platform reel) They are made in Korea (Where your Lew's are made) It is smooth and palms well at 7.5 oz. I would not hesitate to buy an Arachnid. I'm guessing they don't charge quite as much because people see Daiwa as a 'Premium Brand' and so they are willing to pay more, while they don't see Cabela's as a 'Premium Brand' and so they don't want to pay as much, even if thy are the same.
