I am not cool with Mother Nature right now.
Saturday is the last good day and then it all goes to heck in a handbasket. Wouldn't ya know it, I've got to help a relative move all day Saturday.

I am not cool with Mother Nature right now.
So its settled...We all move to Florida. I'll go there and scope out a few places to live. I figure we will need about a 3 bedroom (bunk beds and we sleep in shifts) apartment with 1 1/2 baths and an eat-in kitchen. Oh, and plenty of closet space for all the gear. Is $600 a month within our budget or should I look in the "seedier" side of town?

Picking a Day Based on Weather Trends
Easy decision. Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Why not make it a long weekend? With weather like that its worth going out all 3 days. If you go out Saturday, I would be fishing shallow. If the water is muddy use big baits that put off a lot of vibration like big spinner baits with Colorado blades or wide wobbling crank baits. If its clear go with more subtle baits like swim baits and jerk baits. Just my opinion.

Fly fishing for bluegill
What I've found is most flyfisherman will gladly give lessons on flycasting. If you don't know anything about flyfishing just find a chapter of Trout Unlimited or a neighbor who knows how to flyfish and most times they are more than happy to teach people new to the style. I learned at a outdoor show how to do basic casts. After that I ran into a flyfisherman stream side who instructed me in what I was doing wrong.

Looks like I'm retired
Although its not the scenario you wished for, I'm glad you are looking on the bright side. Enjoy your retirement. Spend time doing what you want to do. You worked long enough to earn it. And every once in a while drive by the place you use to work at and laugh.

Tiger Muskie Fishing In Western Washington
Tiger muskies are a hybrid of musky and pike. They tend to grow faster but not as large as musky. Also they are easier to catch than pure bred musky. My suggestion is use larger lures that are made for pike and musky. Large spoons and inline spinnerbaits, big swim baits and glide baits work and most times will rule out by-catch like bass. In colder water fish closer to shore. During the heat of summer try the magic hours around sunrise and sunset. Good luck.

Fly fishing for bluegill
In the dead of summer, when its even too hot for bass, I head to a local lake with my fly rod and some spiders. Its fun and simple fishing. Nothing fancy, no boat or tackle box. Just a fly rod, vest and bottle of water. I can catch about 20 or 30 sunfish in a couple hours and its enjoyable.

Trolling motor question
Lighter means faster. Upgrading to 36v would be lighter than having 2 TMs and 4 batteries. IMO get the 36v and it would be easier to charge the batteries as well.
