  1. Not as much fun if you ask me.
  2. The rule I go by is you take the high temps for the last 6 days and the low temps for the last 6 days. Add the high temps up and divide by 6. That will give you an average high temp. Do the same with the low temps to get an average low temp. Add both numbers together and divide by 2 to give you an approximate water temp give or take 5 degrees. This doesn't take into account snow melt which will decrease the water temp. This is just a method I use when no water temp gauge is available.
  3. Just watched the show. Good job Glenn. You represented all of us very well. You caught fish (some were actually bass) and you didn't fall into the lake. Bravo
  4. The storm that was suppose to miss us decided to change its path and now we are getting anywhere from 3-8 inches of snow. I may have said this before but I HATE WINTER!!!!!!
  5. ^^^^Bingo. Bass don't have large brains. They think about survival and reproducing. They would hit a beer can with a hook on it. Its us who over-think things.
  6. Frugal to a point. If I need something, I will buy it for retail price but if I buy it in the preseason I will try to save a few bucks.
  7. Kudos She's a beauty.
  8. I agree with @riverbasser. Its not the same format and can't really be compared to BASS. No 5 fish limit, no practice before the event, penalties for landing violations and, on some of the tourneys, a weight that needs to be reached to advance. Does that mean that Jordan Lee gets a pass? Not in my opinion. No champ's exemption because he isn't the champ of MLF. Its completely different from BASS.
  9. Live is going till 3:30. Cool.
  10. Wesley Strader falling apart last week after jumping out with such a big lead was amazing. And then this week to have the same thing happen to Jeff Kriet in much the same way shows you that this is the most competitive and unpredictable format in pro bass fishing and makes for some incredible tv. It really doesn't matter how you start out, it only matters how you finish.
  11. Hit up the Susquehanna Fishing Tackle cabin fever sale. Everything was at least 10% off and they had great giveaways that included a Curado K. Unfortunately I didn't win anything but got some great deals on things I can't find at any of the local shops, Cabela's or BPS. I wanted to pick up some TRD tubes but they were all sold out. So I picked up the HogZ instead. I'm curious to see the difference between the TRD and Roboworms Ned worm.
  12. I've told the story in other posts but Hank Parker's tv show taught me how to use a baitcaster without getting massive backlashes. Between him and Bill Dance I learned a lot about bass fishing.

You definitely need a second opinion. I recommend Dr. Pepper.
  14. Well now you know but its too late because the mystery has been solved therefore there is no more mystery.
  15. In PA we have a split season for the opening day of trout. Southeastern counties start on March 31 but the rest of the state starts April 14. Since they started this split season we've had 4 years where most of the lakes in the SE were frozen on opening day. The way its going this will be the 5th.
  16. For years I used an 8 ft rod that I guess you could call a noodle rod. Never really defined it as that. Its really good at casting flutter spoons and darts a good distance. Got it at a bait & tackle shop outside of Allentown. Unfortunately the b&t is gone now. Couldn't tell you what brand it was. I'm sure you can pick one up just like it at Cabela's or BPS.
  17. Woke up this morning to another inch of snow. That's 5 days of snow in a row. This is the worse March I've ever lived through.
  18. I got Ashley, Defoe, Howell, Cherry and hometown hero Sypeck.
  19. Saw my first robin a week ago. He was frozen solid and laying on my porch. Too late for the poor lad but if I was smarter I'd take the hint and fly south and not return.

I'm not really sure why people put it off. Yea the bowel prep is terrible but you aren't the one who has to look at dozens of flaming red * in one day. I felt bad to the doctors and staff.
  21. I've never had that problem straight out of the package and I got about 20 of them.
  22. Or for just $17 dollars more you can get the Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious model with extended radar package, undercoating and HD. And that is why I buy Rapala Husky Jerks which are still on sale at Cabela's online. Just $4 to $6 bucks.
