  1. I remember saying something similar when the Steelers won their 4th.
  2. Great game without a doubt.
  3. Just amazing catch by Julio Jones. Don't know how he made that catch and stayed in bounds.
  4. Now it gets interesting. The Falcons let them get back in the game with bad mistakes.
  5. Kinda creepy Bud lite commercial. Spuds McKenzie back from the dead.
  6. Man, the wheels on the Patriots bus are all coming off at once.
  7. A friend of mine had a similar situation and he replaced the fuel filter, as you said you're gonna do, and changed the gas as well as adding some fuel additive. I believe he said it was Seafoam.
  8. Dang...I missed it. Ohh well. My whole day is ruined.
  9. I really hope all the advice helps you and your son have an enjoyable trip and don't forget to take lots of pictures and let us know how you two did.
  10. Picola's pizza, Middleworth chips and Coor's light beer. Lets go Falcons.

I'd get the Bankroll. I can't afford to finance. I'm already too far in debt.
  12. Signed. You wouldn't think that people would willingly ruin what is an economic plus for the region. I know that tournaments have been run on that lake. Maybe if someone contacts local and regional BASS clubs to put some added pressure. Maybe the tournament directors would inform the powers-that-be that the tournaments will be moved to other areas if they proceed with the poisoning.

If you gotta ask, you can't afford it!
  14. Awesome smallie and congrats on the new PB.

For starters I'd call the packaging department and ask to talk to the manager. Just to see if that shouldn't read "Finesse Jig". When that gets all cleared up I'd find some old pork trailers. Even pork strips cut down to a smaller size to get some better action. Tip the jigs with pork and cast along shallow banks that are sunlit and work it slow.
  16. No opinion is an option in this free society. As Socrates once said "Jello is good but not a replacement for a comb". And I think we can all relate to that sentiment.
  17. Sorry, thought this post was about a dog made of cardboard for sale. My bad. But if anybody has a dog made out of cardboard please post an offer here. My neighbor hates dogs and I'm too busy to get a real dog so......no I haven't seen the movie. What's it about?
  18. I think that is basically what most of my posts are about but the overlying theme of my posts on this topic have been more of inclusion and acceptance for the strangeness in us all and how our experiences form who and what we are. Also there are subtexts of struggle and overcoming adversities, something about hemorrhoids, existentialism, the inevitable rise of machines to the detriment of human-kind, and who can forget a dog named Kevin.

And while you're working this is what he is doing.... On your recliner!
  20. I refuse to dismiss these 2 gentlemen as kooks or loonies (Canadian version of a kook). These are people who care about what they do. To them its an art form. Who are we to cast dispersions on people who's only crime (as far as we and the law know) is wanting everyone to notice their hard work and dedication to a craft. Also we judge these people based on our own biases. We don't know these people personally. The man who breaks toilet seats with his head may have other reasons for doing what he does. Maybe when his mother was pregnant with him she was scared by the sound of a toilet lid hitting a seat. Maybe when he was a young child he was drinking out of the toilet when the lid came down and hit him in the back of the head, knocking him unconscious. He was only saved from drowning by his faithful companion, a labrador retriever named Kevin. We don't know. We may never know. Instead of judging, let us embrace these 2 as compatriots and not simple fools. For there is a little head-kicking, toilet lid smasher in all of us.
  21. I agree with all the posts above. I'd also like to add what I would do. Find out how your style of fishing (ie: the lures and techniques) differs from your sons. If he is more of a power fisherman and you can finesse fish I would bring finesse fishing lures such as shakey heads and 6 in. worms. If he doesn't throw jigs but you have the skill bring jigs and trailers. Offset his tackle selection with your own. That way every possibility is covered.
  22. Can't really pull up the Nav Charts so here is some advice for fishing northern lakes that time of year. Just general info, nothing specific. Early in the morning start in the back of any coves throwing top water baits. This is especially effective if the coves are choked with weeds. I like fast moving poppers like a chugbug. Coves are huge with smallies early in the day. Your pictures show steep dropoffs. Later in the day I really like to throw suspending jerkbaits or jointed rapalas in those areas. Also when I see rocks I always want to try a football head jig with a twin-tailed skirted grub. That's just from experience. If there are any isolated islands or flats always give them a shot, mornings or evenings. Fish around them on all sides and fish the tops of them. For some reason I can pull up BigSky's nav. but not Bills so the advice is the same. Weedy coves in the early morning, don't forget about points around deep water. Buckhorn point by Soaf Island looks like a good drop off for later day fishing.
  23. Love the Case plastics Magic Stiks. They are a great alternative to expensive senkos.
  24. Kudos, accurate and very responsible advice.
