  1. I agree with Bluebasser. I've been to 2 Elite events, one in Philly and the other in Upstate NY and other than getting to ride in a new Skeeter bass boat (Skeeter had local reps giving 5 minute spins in boats) there wasn't much to do before the weight-ins. What I really liked was being able to check out some of the gear the pros were using. You get to walk right down to the dock and eyeball some of the rods, reels and lures they have.
  2. Congrats on the truck C&G. I know what you're saying about the expense of a 4wd truck. I've owned 2 trucks and both were 2wd. Never had a problem through all the winter storms. I just kept good tires on the truck and put some snow in the bed and everything is fine.
  3. More knots= more places for the line to break, fray, slip. I don't use a leader flipping or pitching.
  4. I'll do it only if the church has a big screen and some wings. As for the wedding night....I ain't as young as I use to be.
  5. That is NOT photoshopped. I guarantee it.
  6. I can't wait til the next TW Black Friday sale so I can get 2. That will be 36 ball bearings. I don't know if I can stand it. 36 ball bearings. I'm gonna put at least 5 of those ball bearings in my toaster just to see what happens. Betcha it makes my toast taste awesome.
  7. Water, crackers, occasionally some almonds or peanuts (unshelled) and a Reese peanut butter cup.
  8. Never fished for redfish but was watching a fishing show recently and they suggested looking for birds feeding on shrimp. Both birds and redfish gorge themselves on the shrimp.
  9. I think we've been through this before. NO STICK!!!
  10. Possibly cause of complications from the surgery. Heard he had problems after surgery.
  11. Its been said already but I'll say it again. Retail stores are expensive to operate from a new economy standpoint. Add to the expense carrying high end products that may or may not sell and it becomes even more expensive. Shelf space is a commodity in retail. But internet businesses don't have this problem. A small warehouse can take orders and ship products to your door without the massive overhead of chain-type stores. Macy's, Sears, K-mart, JC Penny and CVS are all closing stores across the country. All of these chains have been hurt my online sales.
  12. Last time I did that I was almost arrested for creating a toxic landfill. That's the last time I go fishing after a lunch at the Tex-Mex-Scottish food truck. Ahhh...haggis enchiladas.
  13. You're lucky bigfeets don't show up and take your deer meat. He's part scavenger and part used auto parts salesman. At least that's what I hear. Its true, I read it on the interweb thingy.
  14. Mustard, like salt not impregnated into the bait, washes off real quick. That is why I have engineered a corn dog with a mustard (and garlic) taste. It will be released at this years Icast show. Your assumption is incorrect. Its more like a spybait without the prop which we all know is only there to get caught in the line so it doesn't work properly.
  15. Simple...corn dog Now some people throw it with the stick still in. I call those people amateurs. Nobody worth their salt throws a corn dog with the stick still in it. You have to remove the stick first. Also you shouldn't be throwing this on anything less than 100# flouro-braid. I use a 1/0 J-bend circle hook snelled. Match it with an ultra-light baitcasting rod with a Zebco 202 spincast and you have the best big fish catching set-up ever. There, I've told you my secrets now leave me alone and get off my lawn.
  16. IBS and a lack of bathroom facilities is my biggest problem and yours too if you're close to me.
  17. Ahhh....snaggin' carp. As kids we use to snag suckers in the spring when they swam up small tributaries. Never snagged a carp though. Must have put up a good fight? Congrats.

Cheer up. Spring's right around the corner.
  19. I'll be totally honest, I buy colors that attract me. If it works on the fish then I'm happy. There are some times and conditions when I buy certain colors. Fishing in the spring in a river in northeastern PA calls for bright colors because of muddy water.

If I wasn't busy making a tin foil hat I'd call the government on you.
  21. I usually just use them for fertilizer. Works good cut up and mixed with cow manure.

Not in my neighborhood he ain't. But the lady down the streets got a huge pair of hands on her for a woman. Yea and he's got a vacation home there to prove it. I got my own priorities. #1. Learn to Salsa dance. #B. Find the source of the smell in my cupboards. #%. File that restraining order against Jennifer Aniston. #Iforgot. Shave my sister's back.
