I just skimmed the original post so my answer is yea and no. Nobody is born with patience. If you remember being a kid or have ever fished with one you know it. I have more patience now than I did a year ago but not as much as I will have next year at this time.

I say if you are on a public computer stay logged on and google bass resource so that if anybody googles anything that starts with a B on that computer, bass resource shows up first. Call it free advertising or subliminal messaging or just a public service for all weary travelers.

A friend of mine thought that the line-thru rods were a great idea until he bought one and used it. The sensitivity wasn't there and about 3 weeks after buying it he tried to sell it to me. I was born at night but not last night.

I find no great happiness in the winter solstice. My warmth only comes when those grey days of winter are on their last breathes and spring slowly wakes. When ice melts and hope rises with the forecasted temperatures. When the clean smell of fresh air replaces the icy knife in my lungs. Or until I move to Florida...whichever comes first.

How bad are the mini-quakes? Do they do any damage to property?

Here in Northeastern PA on sunday I went to take a walk around a local lake. Left my house at noon. Got to the lake 10 minutes later and the temp was 50 degrees. 45 minutes later I was back at my car and the temp was 35 degrees. 15 degree drop in 45 minutes. Now that is a cold front.

He has done the NFL job and knows he will never be in full control. My guess is Rams will get an offensive coordinator from a team and hope he works out.

What I was trying to point out with using Okeechobee as an example is what if the Florida DCNR, or whom ever controls it, decided to suddenly remove most of the vegetation from the lake. Businesses would feel the lose of income. What is going to happen to the california delta is somewhat akin to what happened to the Santee Cooper lakes. Local companies who thrive on bass fishermen visiting, fishing, bringing families are going to suffer which leads to loss of tax money. Killing the goose that lays the golden egg...so to speak.

You are right but I remember reading a story about the lakes in the Santee Cooper area. This goes back to the late 90's or early 2000's.I believe it was Moultrie and Marion. The story goes that home owners along the lake were complaining about weeds clogging their boat docks. So the DCNR came in and killed 75% of the hydrilla in the whole lake. Bass fishing declined, which led to complaints by fishermen, which led to increased stockings of bass which was a waste of tax payers money. The lake has recently started to recover but it took alot of time.

ALASKA...lets not get crazy now. Last time I checked there ain't no bass in Alaska.

Not smart. Throwing away millions in the local economy for a notion that hasn't been proven. Things like this have happened before in other parts of the country. Politicians make a decision and don't look at the over-arching ramifications. Less money spent in local stores means less revenue for those businesses. Imagine them doing something like this at Guntersville or Okeechobee.
