  1. Ponder life's little questions like "How do Keep off the Grass signs get there?" and "Am I really here or somewhere else?". Oh and surf the net for new and unusual ways to bother people.
  2. I'm calling it. Its over. See ya on the water next year!!!!
  3. Gumby is a pro. He was in that movie with Patrick Swayze. Here is the scene.
  4. Takes alot of patience to do a job like that. You're a better man than me.
  5. His life was a living history lesson. Very few of us get to live such a full life. Rest in Peace Mr. Glenn.
  6. I'm fairly certain that its just cosmetic damage. It should just buff right out.
  7. You need to answer a few questions to find out how much thrust you need. Do you fish mostly by yourself or with a partner? Do you carry a ton of gear with you (like me) or are you just gonna bring the bare minimum? Do you expect to fish in rough weather and strong wind? Are you the type of person that expects to fish mostly by running the TM or are you moving from spot to spot with the outboard? Are you going to be fishing rivers?
  8. I think he might mean from now on....and seeing as they have to play the seahawks this weekend I think he is still doesn't stand a chance at being right.
  9. Its a good way to save some money on buying skirts when the band breaks. Which is usually when you pull the jig out of the pack and try to use it for the first time. I hate that. That's why I started wrapping my jig and spinner bait skirts with wire straight out of the pack.
  10. I use 20 to 24 gauge wire. The wire is usually coated with plastic so no problems rusting. I get my wire at Walmart in the crafts section.
  11. Bang for your buck...I would say Shimano Sahara and Sedona. I've had both and they lasted about 10 seasons each for just $50 or $60. You can't beat that.
  12. Gundog replied to *Hootie's topic in Everything Else
Hey Hootie, there's an app for that. Now go ask your grandkids what an app is.
  13. Should've eaten him...just to show the others what happens when they mess with ya.
  14. Sounds like the companies are getting desperate to sell us the next best thing. I'm not biting..pun intended. I'll stay with my bare hooks and leave the teflon to my cooking pans.
  15. I agree. Every pro says the biggest adjustment going from college to the pros is the speed of the game. You add on the years of experience on pro teams compared to only 4 years max for college teams and I have to say any pro team would beat the best college team. Just my opinion.

    Good shootin' Clayton.
  17. Works for me. Some of the best days of fishing happened when I was by myself.
  18. And I expect it wrapped so its a surprise.
  19. Cool pics.
  20. I'm not a college football fan but I find this sign very funny.
  21. Aside from my river baits, the lures I caught the most bass on this year are the same as last year. The first one is a 1/4 oz football head with an Arkie Salty Crawling Grub and the second one is a Terminator T-1 in 3/8 oz. with a pearl shad skirt, Strike King 4.5 size willow leaf blade and a Big Bite Baits 3inch Fat Grub in clear/salt & pepper trailer.
  22. Gundog replied to Glenn's topic in Fishing Tackle
Trim the skirt slightly, thin out the weed guard and bend the hook out just a bit if its possible. The real prep happens with the trailer.
  23. Grew up fishing but didn't start targeting bass till I was 16 and could drive myself to the river. So that would be 31 years now and I still don't know why I do it. Maybe cause its not as bad for me as smoking or worse for me than exercising.
  24. Go fishing more than I did this year. Get to upstate NY to do some fishing. Go to Maryland or Virginia to fish. Catch a striper or hybrid striper. Get out earlier in the year and fish later in the year.
  25. Just sayin'.
