I dropped the Lund off to get winterized and replace some leaky seals on the hydraulic steering. The cooling lakes open in 12 weeks B)

Yep, I catch myself muttering, "I can't hear myself think," in these situations and immediately picture my old man.

Men can only perforn one complicated task at a time, look for the adress or listen to the radio, once younhave found the adress let it rock out loud !

Isn't that when I lay down on the couch to watch a movie, then fall asleep?

Actually for me I just like the peace and quiet and I can concentrate better.

Yes, the radio can be distracting.  We are taught, and teach, in Archery that  the human mind can only concentrate on one thing at a time (and there are a lot of things to do to send a pointy stick into the middle of the bullseye).  Concentrate on one thing and you're better off.

When I get back home and start to back my boat trailer up into our driveway, the seat belt comes off, the windows come down (no matter how cold it is) and the radio gets turned down/off.  That's just the way it is...

Yes, and when I get into a larger town/city, the radio gets turned off.

I went through a commercial driving safety seminar.   There is something scientific regarding listening and attentiveness.  Even talking on a phone with a blue tooth,  decreases your attentiveness way more than you think it does.

Seems perfectly natural to me. Music can be distracting at times.

Kind of saddens me to think, all these years I've been wearing glasses, when all I needed to do was turn down the volume.

Hootie

i too am guilty of turning the radio down when looking for an unfamiliar place and know that im close to it, it just seems like a natural reaction...

I find and feel that im more distracted talking over the blue tooth in my car than i am if i just hold the phone up to my ear the old fashioned way...

Ive been doing that forever. And recently riding with other people notice they do it too\
