When I had my jon boat I attached 2 large cleats to the inside of the boat about 2 feet apart. I wrapped the anchor rope around those cleats and if I was anchored up and needed to move my boat downriver slightly I just unwrapped some of the rope from the cleats and let the boat float down river. Its better than constantly being on the TM.

Head coaches set the standard for teams. When they interview a player who got traded to the NE Patriots they always say the standards are higher than the team they just came from. You are expected to know the plays, know your position and be ready to play. Its those standards that are missing in some teams.

I just use spinning gear. No muss, no fuss. Get a cheap spinning rod and reel and it will work better, in my opinion, than a more expensive baitcaster and rod. Again, just my opinion. Only way I throw anything on baitcaster is if it has some weight to it. If not its a pain in the youknowwhat.

I know the feelings. I have them too. I use to go to NYC often in the years before the attack. I haven't been to NYC since the attacks. Its not the same place to me. Still gets to me when I think what happened and how many lives were lost.

Since you're asking for opinions I'll throw my 2 cents in. I would use the 7.3:1 reel with the Okuma rod with jigs and frogs. The high speed reel will bring in line quicker for pitching and flipping jigs and let you reel in slack line quick when frog fishing. Match the Lews Custom Pro with the BPS 7' for swimbaits and maybe T-rigs. The Curado I'd put with the St. Croix. Two quality pieces go good together. You can use that for spinnerbaits. The Lews BB I'd match up with the G.Loomis and use that for lipless crankbaits and jerkbaits. The rod won't be the best for the baits but unless you are willing to buy a medium power/moderate action rod, it will have to do.

Living in an elitist bubble will do that to you. Professors spend more time caring about increasing their pay and less time caring about teaching. I worked part-time at a local college and saw first hand how professors raise their pay and lessen their work load. One professor actually got a pay increase will out on leave. And bragged about it.
