  1. Maybe? Doesn't matter if I believe it. What matters is those people believe that. That's why they do it. Its about the goal but also about the journey to get there. Its as much about the pain as it is about the glory. Ever go outside in cold weather to practice your casting? Ever endure heat, cold, rain, sleet, a bum knee, hemorrhoids, tennis elbow just to fish? Ever dream about that trophy bass? Ever catch it? We are all apart of the same crazy world these people live in but our glory is less public. Less immortalized to others. But we still do it. So who is crazy now? Better yet answer my original question, knowing everything I've said is true about each one of us the question is.....Is the brain damage worth it?
  2. 2 things: Number 1: It looks like your chihuahua is attacking your vacuum. Number 2: I think Roadwarrior has been left alone too long. He's getting a little rambunctious.
  3. Entertainment is only a small part of what those 2 videos have for us, the viewer. Its about commitment, suffering for your art, working towards a goal and achieving it and daring to look foolish for your efforts. How many among us can say we have done things others thought was stupid but gave us a purpose?
  4. I think you all are missing the point. These people are famous. They are in the Guinness Book Of World Records. That is the reason they do it. They believe the fame is worth the damage done or the scorn from others. Isn't it worth all of that to be famous. If not then I've judged Kim Kardashian all wrong.
  5. That's ok. You can PM me the pic and I'll review it to see if its good enough to put on the site.
  6. I remember when I use to drive to Maryland for the BPS spring sale before we had one in PA. Now I wouldn't drive the hour to go to it. The sales aren't worth it when you can get the same or better stuff off the internet at a better price.

    Me too.......
  8. The lake I fish the most has an average visibility of about 8 feet. The water is gin clear even after rain storms. The only time I've ever seen it muddy was after the 2011 flood. Spinner baits are the best bait to throw (IMO) when you have clear water. Use a willow leaf blade and you can see that blade flash from a good distance away. BTW the thing I love most about fishing clear water is when you get to see the bass hit your lure.
  9. I've seen a 16 inch bass "try" to eat a 9 inch trout. The bass tried to swallow the trout head first. He swam away with the tail of the trout sticking out of his mouth.
  10. That's just what the machines want me to do....
  11. Looks like my high school math teacher Mr. Teeter. Except he had the vain in the middle of his forehead that I always imagined one day would explode out of his head.
  12. How would you suggest people break toilet seats? With some sort of apparatus? That would only mean one more machine to help take over the world when the machines rise up against us. No sir, I will not be apart of such obvious detrimental operations!
  13. Where I carry the meth-heads ain't gonna feel a knife stab. That's why I carry a .45. Its like a punch, only a punch don't produce a hole through you.
  14. Yup. Just sayin'.
  15. Never done it before but I would probably drill a hole from the mouth straight back to the tail. Then drill up where I want the hooks. Put a wire loop up thru the hook holes then run a solid line from the front to the back, passing thru the wire loops. Then wood putty the hook holes. This is just general knowledge. For specifics you should check out videos.
  16. Abe Lincoln (hey its my list, I can answer it any way I want.) A good, quality baitcaster with a 7 foot med/hvy rod with a fast tip. Save money because your friend is gonna know a guy that has a good deal on a boat and you (past self) didn't have the money to buy it, you idiot. Also don't date Sue, she'll treat you badly and leave you depressed and with a poor self image. Plus invest in gold, the price is gonna quadruple.
  17. Good to see ya keeping busy Hootie. Great carvings.
  18. Yea but there is a lot of nonsense you gotta take away. Truckloads of it. From the meat-gown to the over-important attitude and everything in between. I won't be watching the halftime show.
  19. Lets face it, these new rigs are about getting us bass anglers to spend more money on new items/lures/reels/rods. Yea they work, so does the T-rig, rattle traps, jigs and other lures and rigs we've used since the 70's or further back. Don't fall for it.
  20. I like Gene Larew claws. The are bulky at the top to get them noticed by the bass. As far as rigs, I use a ball head jig or a 4/0 wide gap hook, texas rigged.
  21. You gotts to be kiddin' me!
  22. I was shocked that some of the competitors were still throwing topwater baits 6 hours into the tournament. And Ott Defoe's trip wading through skinny water was a big gamble. Like he said, he couldn't change his mind after that. It was all or nothing.
