  1. From the banking always save an old soft plastics bag. And put them in there. Easy to find and store and doesn’t weigh much.
  2. I don’t think it matters what so ever. Get what makes you happy. It’s not gonna bother the fish
  3. Ohhh yeah that’s actually a pretty good idea. I love my jigs. But considered just throwing spinning gear wacky and nail weight rigs
  4. Always spinning tackle?
  5. Oh wow. Man you’ve done a lot of cool stuff!! That’s literally what my doctor said. I think I’m gonna get a steroid pack and take it easy besides work. I’ve been wearing a brace. If anything. This deal has really shown me my bad casting form with a baitcaster. And helped me improve it. I can tell instantly if I have a reel set up to tight, or I’m having an off casting day. On a good day pain free besides minor ache. Otherwise if I’m messing up it’s awful lol
  6. Wow that sounds intense You hit that right on the head. August here I think is brutal and I’m from Florida lol. I’m ready for September and October honestly. Bring on the nice cool fall weather before we are stuck inside. I mean that’s a great plan just won’t exactly work for me right now lol. Surgery wil be last resort. Exactly
  7. That’s also good to hear. How bad was the surgery? That’s what they say I have is golf/tennis elbow
  8. lol no 5am-1pm Monday through Friday and 1 Saturday a month
  9. Mehhh I don’t wana lol Oh wow! Serisoily? That’s not good at all. I went to the doctor. He said rest. Which I can stop fishing but can’t stop work lol. And I could try a steroid pack as well
  10. Thank you so much!!! I really appreciate that. I’ve looked up some stretches but that’s a really detailed page. I can’t argue that. But I already get up in the middle of the night for work haha.
  11. Sounds good lol. Sucks. But that’s life I suppose
  12. We do have the Des Moines river and a couple small ones cat fisherman take over though. So I never really have bothered to try lol. I should tho Oh wow. Thats a rough time. Yeah I gotta get it under control. It’s just getting worse. If I do fish I may go once a week or something. But I probably won’t keep it up like I am. I was gonna hold off till ponds Ice over but probably shouldn’t
  13. Well said. My parents and many co workers have had rotator cuffs done. That’s a hard one. That’s the thing with my elbow. At 37 and as bad as it is. I got a long way to go lol.
  14. I’ve done that. And evenings here aren’t to bad actually. Just family and kiddo time usually lol. I generally don’t have trouble finding time to fish and can go most every day for a bit. Even live close to a chain of ponds. It’s more just being tired lol and my elbow/bicep wanting to falll off haha.
  15. Nice man! I work 10 hours a day in the heat as a welder/diesel mechanic. Peek of the day after work. Fishings rough
  16. Man it’s gotten awful and work doesn’t help but I can’t sit that out lol.
  17. We have hit that time. The Midwest is getting hot as all get out. I get off work at 1pm. Peak sun overhead and heat. My tennis/golf elbow is killing me. The bite has slowed way down since it’s hot and they have been pressured for 3-4 months straight in my area. I think I’m gonna kick back for a month. Just orders the stuff to start powder painting jig heads and tying skirts. May just sit back for the month and do that till it starts to cool off. I sound like such a baby haha
  18. I will grab some at work tomorrow!!
  19. Wow that’s awesome. I agree with the bulk. I did 20-30 tabs of the stuff I like and think I’ll use. Feel free to message me whatever ya wana get rid of I may be interested
  20. Yep that’s the name of the game. Downsizing lures can help too with numbers.
  21. They seemed to like this today. First time I’ve tried it. Took a 3/16 sniper jig with a finesse cut and put a hunk of a wore out stick bait on it. Did the trick just fine. It’s hot weather is weird and fishing is down right tough here.
  22. Jig. Plain and simple jig. Whether I hope them, drag them, or swim them. And the trailer doesn’t matter. A jig. best thing I did was pretty much tie on some kind of jig all season this year. I’ve caught them on other stuff. Still love a 10 inch ribbon tail. The Neko rig was a ton of fun to play with too!!! But a jig changed how I fish. Made me think more. Be more observant. but if I had to list lures that have killed it so far. Berkeley chopo 75/105 berkley bullet pop 70 Siebert sniper 3/16-5/16 jig neko rig (doesn’t matter what worm)
