  1. So here's a suggestion...Click on "Rod Building Kits" in the menu up top, then follow the URL map ... viola. Your post made me expect to see some motocross content or similar.
  2. Tried quite a few..Zman Project Z is the best I've tried so far
  3. 1/3 of $100 price?? Hard to believe that price...might of been a mismark.

and they work because of variable factors not necessarily attributable to color, which most are manufactured to catch the human eye
  5. Can't say for sure as I have no experience with the specific rod nor reel in this combo. It's a pretty safe bet that these are extremely low end items with marginal or non-existent braking capabilities which would most likely frustrate a beginning baitcaster.
  6. The bass fishing is good down here. Also pretty good crappie fishing and catfishing is outstanding . Summers are pretty warm (understatement of year) but winters are fairly mild, able to fish year round.
  7. Greetings Carl! Welcome to the BR forums. I grew up in SLC so we already have 2 things in common
  8. Lew's come from China also, at least the one I have does (TL73XHFC).
  9. Sounds like you already have the spinning rigs you need, why not live a little and learn casting? There are plenty of $80-100 quality rods available.
  10. Reason for this comment? I'm not a user of Ardent but would not be opposed unless there was good reason. Care to share??
  11. Understood. there was no shipping on that $35 price, picked it up in store.
  12. I thought you referring to the ooold bantams...e.g. 100, 100EX, 500, and the 10x. Still have my old 10SG and it still gets the job done
  13. I own the Plano version adjustable rod tube. Both the end cap and adjuster will lock keeping contents securely packed and safe from the low-life thieves. Bought mine at Academy but it isn't the one advertised on their website. Pretty sure I paid about $35 for it a couple years ago. Works well with no issues...except for keeping track of the lock keys
  14. That's exactly what I thought, except for the K flip...was clueless about that
  15. That last comment just may get you thrown out of OKC area bass clubs , but at least you've got the color right! Go Pokes!
  16. says the man who's PB is listed as between 5-6 lbs.
  17. I've used a pelican 10e for some time now powered by trolling motor only and there are several times I've wished for a small gas outboard to make long runs (>2 mi). At full speed, a 50lb thrust TM can drain a fully charged 12v system pretty fast.
  18. Never fished a Berkley Shock so I can't comment on it but have tried many rods in $40-60 range and most are just that IMO, junk. Glad you have experience that leads me to believe otherwise...
  19. and your point is? Quality reel, junk rod? Sorry but I beg to differ, never cared for low end rods or reels. Quality can be had on both for under $200 IMO. BTW - I usually agree with every post you make, just not this one (unless you were just making a statement)
  20. Exact opposite here...a good rod can help increase catch in a variety of ways. Match it with a used Revo and you have a quality setup.
  21. Tackle Warehouse lists the BCS-3-17 Medium Light spinning rod w a fast action
  22. I have a 54 for bow, 50 for stearn, separate batteries for each. No rudder required of you disperse weight properly, even when I go bow only. I've seen a few that have rudders but it's usually found on boats that are improperly balanced.
  23. It's your choice, count it or not. If you feel you have to justify it in some way (e.g. asking others in a forum setting) you most likely don't feel it's legit. No hard and fast rules and there will always be a differing opinion. Go with your gut but don't dwell on it...go catch it's mom!
