Sounds like weedless in green gizzard shad or yellow perch. (Or both)
  2. I'm not gonna give you some Dr. Phil advice. You got two options 1. Stay single. 2. Buy ear plugs.
  3. In the words of the famous Ron Popeil. "Set it and forget it."
  4. Have you put a trailer on it? Try putting a swimbait on it to act like a keel.
  5. 7' 6" ML Carrot Stick. I have used mine with 50lb. braid and frogs, and 12lb. mono. with shakey heads it's a very versitile rod. Th ML isn't too light it actually has a pretty solid back bone. Contrary to popular belief Carrot Stix don't snap in half when you hook into bluegill, nor do they Spontaniously combust on your first cast. They are really great rods for only $99.
  6. Bomber Badonk-a-Donk.

Hey guys I started a thread yesterday asking for swimbait suggestions. I think the Hudd 68 won, but now the question is weedless or open hook? Does the weedless version have OK hook up ratio, and what color would you suggest for central Ga.?
  8. Thanks for the help guys. Leaning towards the Hudd.
  9. That rod is only rated for max 2 1/2 ounces, but it's so stiff it can comfortably handle lures twice that size. In fact it usually takes 4 ounces to properly load the rod.
  10. my mistake I just reread my first post, super vague. What I'm looking for is something 8"+, I can fish all summer. I want something that sinks that I can fish along points, and cast perpendicular to weed beds and lily pads, so it doesn't have to be weedless. My max budget is $50. I'm open to just about anything.
  11. I have a 5600 Ambassadeur on a 7'6" Heavy Carrot Stick spooled with 25lb mono. I don't have much. For that combo, I have a Spro rat, River2Sea Wide Glide, and a Castaic boot tail swimbait. I'm just looking for something that will catch fish somewhat regularly.
  12. I can't decide which swimbait to get next. Which swimbait do you suggest? Hudd, S Waver, or something completly different, and what color?
  13. I don't have Costas, but I do have a pair of Oakley Dispatch. I would stick with Oakley, Costas are just so expensive. I'm actuallly about to switch the old scratched lenses for new polarized lenses.
  14. That hurts to look at. How did he end up getting it out?
  15. Just make sure the lifejacket you buy floats, so if you accidently drop it in the water you can get it back.

My grandma makes awesome carmel corn with scuppernong.
  17. Floss works great, but you really need to use a leader.
  18. I always use the wind like a trolling motor. When it's really windy I use it like an outboard.
  19. Watch out for the BOOGERMAN.
  20. This is what I came up with. I also switched the stock trebles for Owner ST-36 Stinger hooks. The rear treble is dressed with dark brown marabou.
  21. Simonize and elbow grease.
  22. The big one, which I prefer, really isn't that big. Last year my brother caught an 8 pounder on the medium disco shad. So size doesn't matter, really it's your preference.
  23. Weird. I used to live in central IN. (hence the IU picture to the left), now I live in GA., the only numbers in bass I care about are measured in lbs., and jigs are my "finese" go to lure.
  24. Oh, and don't eat fish out of there. But take what you can, hope it continues to get better.
