Pros trending away from white river marine group
Has anyone else noticed there seems to be a trend of pros moving away from ranger, triton, and other bass pro/white river marine boats? Swindle, roumbanis, scott martin, and several more ive noticed are switching to other brand boats for 2021. Btw. Can a mod fix my typo on the title from ttending to trending?

Should I be concerned in buying an older Evinrude??
If the motor checks good, go for it. That looks like an older evinrude intruder series motor. We have had one since dad bought it new in 93, and its been a good motor overall. Its the later ones witb the ficht that rudes began having problems.

Best States/Regions for Kayak Anglers
Look at north Alabama, around the huntsville area. Booming area of state economy and job wise, and surrounded by some of the best fishing in the country. You can fish big water like guntersville, or smaller rivers too like the flint or elk. Plus local county public lakes, watersheds, or pay lakes.

In need of tungsten jigs
I recommend the siebert tungsten jigs as well. Those or the dredge series are the only jigs i use. Perfect jig to me would have the hook from the dredge with a tungsten hesd.

Ned Rig Conbo?
Dobyns champion 702 with a pflueger supreme 25. 15# pp slick 8, no leader. I like a longer rod than 6' unless im wading a creek panfishing. Im sure there are some who have found a baitcasting combo to work, but its out of my budget. I have less that $175 in my combo, found some deals on the flea market here.

What's the best tip/action for getting the most accuracy in a rod?
One thing not to overlook is the reel as well. I can cast smaller baits on my tatula sv or my curado 70, than i can my tatula ct. Also since super cleaning my reel bearings it takes noticeably less effort to cast on all my rods compared to before.

Is 15# FC too much for jerk bait fishing?
I use 12# on my main jerkbait rod, but i dont notice a real difference when i go to my second/back up rod i use that has 15# on it.

High Viz Braid w/o a leader?
I use hi vis yellow on all my spinning rods and currently (may change to straight floro)on my flipping rod. No leaders anymore except in ultra gin clear water. I do usually color the last 3' or so with a sharpie, but not always. I fish pretty dirty coosa river water usually so it works fine for me. I love the yellow for line watching on a senko or ned rig.

Jerk/Crank/Chatter Rod
Thats 3 rods for me too, but i understand its not always doable for everyone. I like a short(6'4), fast rod on jerkbaits, a 7' med-mod for cranks, and a 7'3 glass composite for chatterbaits. Some good suggestions here already on rods, but it will be a compromise somewhere on which techniques any rod will work better than another either way. My advice is to save up and pair it with a really good reel, like a sv spool daiwa or curado 70, something that can also help handle the big difference in the weights of the lures listed you plan to throw.

Dobyns Sierra or Champion
I asked about them at the classic and was told they are all gone.

Classic weigh in
Is there an actual initial weigh in at the ramp for events, like the classic was this year and other years, where the weigh in is a long way off from lake? I would be ticked if i had 5 good fish live and kicking when i got to the ramp, and then after driving 1.5hr from guntersville to birmingham, and then sitting in the parking lot another hour or better and unable to recycle water in the livewell with fresh for a fish to die and incur a penalty for it. As good as the livewell systems are in the new boats i can see it potentially happen

Which glx for 3/8 jigs
Thanks for the answers so far. Why do some suggest the mbr over the jwr? Ive been mainly looking at the jwr. I understand the mbr is a slower more general purpose taper, where im looking more for maximum sensitivity.

Which glx for 3/8 jigs
Im looking at buying a g-loomis glx for throwing 3/8 jigs pretty much exclusively. Will be paired with a tatula sv and 20# floro. It will be a do all, throw anywhere jig, brush, laydowns, grass, docks, etc.. I am debating between the 854 and 855. Ive ruled out the 894 and 895 since i know from experience i do not skip well with anything 7'3" or longer. It would be my first loomis, so im not sure about the power and ratings. My current rod is a 7'm-f avid, and i really like it very well, but i want to take the next step up in sensitivity.

Any good "do it all" jigs you can recommend?
The siebert dredge brush jig my go to. I always have one in 3/8oz rigged and with me no matter the season or lake.

New Rage bait prices on TW?
Ive noticed TW is rapidly closing in on being as high/over priced as BPS. I find myself looking there less and less because of this.

lure retriever
I use an extending pole like this. Never had a problem with it. Works for lures in trees under and over water. I use it as a push stick too in windy or shallow water when hung up. Its the only thing in the boat thathas paid for itself, and many times over. https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/DotLine_Telescopic_Lure_Retriever_178/descpage-DLLR18.html?from=Google&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI5sCc5PPF4gIVxVYNCh3JUwE0EAQYASABEgIqFfD_BwE

BEST GLASSES for sight fishing ?
I have 2 pairs of costas. One with 580g green mirror and one with 580p sunrise silver mirror. I thought the green mirror was the ticket for sight fishing, til i tried the sunrise silver mirror. I could see much better with them. Its a yellow base with a siver mirror outer finish. Its a 30% light transmit compared to the 10ish% green mirror. So it lets in much more light while still cutting glare from water, allowing me to see better under water Its a specialty lens for me though, it will give you a sun headache if you rely on them alone all day on a bright full sun day, because the let in much more light. I only wear them sight fishing, on cloudy days, or early mornings and late evenings. I usually start with them at daylight and switch back to the green mirror after the sun gets up good. Great glasses for driving at blastoff too when its light out, but the sun isnt up over horizon yet.

So far this season what has been everyone’s most productive lures?
Siebert dredge brush jig, 3/8, black n blue, with a blue rage craw. By far been my best lure for a couple years now. I have at least 1 tied on 24/7 and its always on deck ready to go. My most versitle and used lure too. 2nd would be a norman middle n or lucky craft 2.5 squarebill

2020 BASS Masters Classic
Talk around here is that it could possibly take 100 lbs to win too though. They should be getting there some of the peak fishing of the year. I think they are looking at that, in response to some of the response to mlf being "dink fests" and winning by catching 50 1lb fish. People talk about guntersville being "down" and still taking 20+ just to get a check, and close to 30 to win. You should be. Bill clark is a helluva coach. He had a good team the one year he was here at jax st and kept dicipline on the team too. I think auburn screwed up not sending the gusbus to ark and hiring clark then.

Can Humminbird lakemaster be updated
Everything ive seen is buy a new version. I would research first and make sure the lakes you fish are updated too. Id be ticked if i bought a new card and still was the same older maps of the lakes, when that was my reason to update.

Help with a helix 7 di si gn2
The ones on the boxes and sales brochure are doctored up with photoshop probably, and thats after a expert went over and over and over the same thing making adjustments to get that image. With the right settings you can get good images though. What ive done, to get better at imaging. I went to a bridge, and a few other places i know, and spent some time making passes by it, adjusting one thing at a time to learn how to tune the settings. I watched videos and researched what to adjust and why. Im still learning.

Help with a helix 7 di si gn2
What makes you feel that way? Its not a plug and play deal with the graphs, from any brand. I adjust mine pretty regular, changing the scroll speed, contrast, and sensitivity to match conditions and area. Usually minor adjustments on each of them, just up or down one or two each. Also make sure the transducer is level to how the boat sits in water when graphing.
