If your feeling multiple fast machine gun taps its not a bass it's panfish and you'll never hook them. Bass is a distinct thump or dead weight on the line.if using a jig you may feel him suck it in then the jaw shut.

Return it. I check all that before I buy unless it's online. No way I could fish with it.

So go leaderless with braid. I've tried flouro a bunch of times side to side with braid. On tough days it made no difference.

Never change one gear and not the other !!!! Just like a differential that makes no sense since they wear into each other.

Why bother ? Dump the leaders.

i tried flouro for years including this year. i ran the same baits on different rods one with flouro the other with braid. i can honestly say flouro yielded NO MORE BITES THAN BRAID OVER THIS SEASON SO FAR. given that i hate so many other things about it im done with flouro. back to straight braid for me. im done wasting money.

Being that I just warrantied a BPS Patriot for a peeling Wynn grip let's hear it from you guys. Especially those who have Wynn grip rods. At this point I'm unsure if I would purchase another.my other Patriot grip is ok but I guess time will tell.

So far so good. Casts far. No backlash Handles big fish with no issue.great with small baits like a new and for pitching jigs. Definitely want another.

So I went to customer service at the Bridgeport Bass Pro Shop and returned my Patriot. The guy said it's a 30 day return policy. I said it's a 10 year guarantee.He asked for recipt and I said it was a gift and I don't have it. So up the authority level we go and I finally got a new rod. No Patriots were available but I knew going in I wanted a Johnny Morris Signature series with cork grips.wound up with a 6-8 medium extra fast. Rod was 149.99. Patriot was 199.99 .I got credit for extra 50 plus tax. I threw in another 50 and bought a new Lews lfs left handed 8.3 to 1 to replace an old one I have. Had to order online from store but no shipping charge. All together it was a good experience so I will keep on shopping there.
