Never go underc50 on baitcast. I've been fishing braid since the early 90s and have never snapped my line on a cast.

Braid was Definately slower falling by approx 1 second. Does it matter ?

Sufix Advance colpoly/ mono. Lower stretch than mono or flouro better casting better abrasion resistance.

Don't know about that. Blue holds bolts pretty tight.It probably is missing an o ring. Besides the fact when you turn the knob dried particles of loctite will flake off the threads eventually and go in your reel.

If you add loctite how are you going to adjust it ?

Drag star has nothing to do with spool tension. Cast control knob does that.

Drag has nothing to do with backlashes.

I use a Johnny Morris Signature series 7-6 heavy extra fast. I love it. It gets fish out of cover really well.

50 lb Sufix 832 on mh. 12 lb Sufix advance mono on the other rod.

Balance is number 1. Then a light reel and a light rod at the same time. I used to use balance weights on my rods but once I got a light rod that was balanced that went out the window

Lews tournament pro is a great all purpose reel. It throws small baits and big ones with no problem. The 27 point brake is the best I've ever used.. Buy it from sportsmans outfitters at 159 I think. You won't regret it.

30 years fishing switching braid to mono to flouro and back and I still find it hard to believe it matters.

IMHO the best brakes ever are Lews 27 point externally adjustable centrifugal brakes.. Almost impossible to backlash. I set mine really loose but if you set them like most videos say to you won't backlash.

Sufix 832 will solve your problems. Tie a Palomar knot and your good to go. Crazy glue your knot and it will never slip.
