  1. Do we even know if they are allowed to curse or not? I’ve heard a few cusses words over the tourney so far. That’s usually part of live TV and since this is their own streaming product they shouldn’t be held to any regulations.
  2. Ish let out an F bomb the other day. Ike hasn’t been the only one cussing. What an incredible finish though. You couldn’t write a better script for today. Feel bad for Ike.
  3. What is the point of this other than to be an instigator and stir the pot?
  4. I wonder if the MLF complainers would be happy with the results so far today. There are some monster bass being caught. Hite had one over 9 pounds and Omori just got himself a 7 pounder.
  5. That was pretty cool seeing Shryock talking to a fan that was cheering him on. Then he catches another one directly after. Love it.
  6. Ish was punching weeds most of the time. Howell caught most of his on a jerkbait the first day but he struggled some today. Saw a decent amount using a chatterbait. Saw some lipless crankbaits.
  7. Those last few minutes were intense. That was awesome. Just think, we get to see it happen for three more days!
  8. Is it just me or does the coverage remind you of golf tourney coverage. It gives my that same feel and I like it.
  9. I think some sellers are trying to rip off unknowing buyers a lot of times. Sometimes I think they just don't know what the market it is. I see it all the time on Facebook and I'll call them out on it. There are a lot of times someone will be selling a reel at a discounted price from what they paid for it but they don't look to see if it can be bought brand new for a discounted price on another site. One example was a guy selling a Revo SX for $100. He paid retail for it which was $159 and thought he was giving someone a great deal. The problem was that Academy had them on sale for $79. I don't know about you guys but I'm not buying anything used unless it's close to 50% off or it's a very hard to find item.
  10. If I were you I’d mention that to them. Post it on one of their social media accounts. I think they’re going to be pretty open to suggestions at this stage. Doesn’t hurt to let them know what you want from them while it’s still new.
  11. Another fun day. Completely different conditions yet some guys figured it all out. Was very impressive to see Robinson make that surge while Gagliardi hit a wall. Really enjoying it.
  12. That is possible but it is against the rules and would face the consequences if caught. Knowing what worked the day before does not always help either. A lot can change in one day. The more I think about the more I don't think it's ever going to be an issue.
  13. I was just thinking of all the people I see posting on social media about their worry for anglers on their day off watching and gaining an advantage. I don't see how they gain an advantage over the day 1 guys since Group A and Group B don't go up against each other until day 5. The weights start over on day 5 as well. By that time everyone has been on the water the same amount and I don't think there should be any advantages.
  14. I loved the live coverage and few interruptions. Really enjoy hearing them talk about what they're thinking and what they're doing. I like seeing what they are using and why. I even enjoyed the commentary breaking down what they're doing, why they're doing it and where they are. So cool.
  15. I understand that but that can be said with every sport there is. There can always be cheaters and ways around the rules. I'm putting my trust in the people running the tourney that they have gone over circumstances like that. I guess we'll find out but it doesn't really bother me at all.
  16. Why would I let something like that worry me? I'm just a spectator being entertained by them catching fish and learning from them. If anyone were to be concerned it would be the anglers and the people in charge. I would guess the consequences are big enough to prevent anyone from attempting it. He's going to need a huge day 2 to make the cut.
  17. Howell was throwing a jerkbait all day without anyone having to tell him so why wouldn't someone end up doing it tomorrow as well without knowing? I would worry too much about anglers getting tipped off. The same 40 that fished today will fish again on Thursday. After Thursday the top 20 from that group will move on to the next day. It's the accumulative weight of today and Thursday.
  18. That was a pretty awesome first day. Lots of fish caught and some quality fish caught. Will be interesting to see how tomorrow compares to today.
  19. My brother-in-law caught a large mouth that was over 7lbs on the Rainbow Flowage last September. That must have been one OLD fish. I think I was watching a video from the Pond Boss the other week and he said that bass can get really big in northern states. Bass live longer in the north and all they need is a good food supply to grow to a really big size. Someone that is managing their own bass pond could grow double digit bass in the north.
  20. I know it wasn't the most important reason but they still think it's a benefit. Better TV exposure too. When it comes to sports, TV is more important than the live event.
  21. I think the weigh in will be a thing of the past eventually although it will take a while. It makes me cringe when I see those guys holding those big bass up in the air with their jaws all jacked up then knowing they're going to most likely be dumped pretty far from where they were caught. I get it's fun and I fish in some tourneys like that but it is really worth it?
  22. Day 1 Group A of 40 fish. Day 2 Group B of 40 fish. Day 3 Group A of 40 fish again. Top 20 advance. Day 4 Group B of 40 fish again. Top 20 advance. Day 5 The top 20 from group A and B fish. The top 10 advance. Day 6 Final day with just the top 10. It's all about protecting the species. Less time out of the water. Less contact with surfaces like the carpet off the boat and shirts which can damage the slime coat on a bass. No time sitting in a live well. No culling systems. I love it.
