MLF Starts This Saturday!
Wow, that was a tough day of fishing for the MLF guys this week. The big bass, even though very few, were what won. I guess that goes against the nothing but small bass argument.

Tips For Big Northern Bass
I recommend reading the book Lunker Lore.

Bang for the buck fish finder advice?
The app is free to download and they might offer a free trial period. For full maps there is a fee which I think is $9.99 for the year. I think it's worth it. It works without cell service which is great when out on the water.

Bang for the buck fish finder advice?
For the Lowrance Hook2 Tripleshoot it's $200 to go from no maps to having maps. The 7x (no maps) is $399 and the 7 (maps) is $599. If it were me I'd save the $200 and get the 7x model since I already have the Navionics app on my phone and use it.

Who has a good online selection of spinnerbaits?
If you want custom made lures join one of the facebook groups and you'll be able to find all kinds of stuff.

Quest for a monster northern largemouth, pics if you got em please
I recommend reading Lunker Lore. I just finished it and thought it was a good read about focusing on catching monster bass. https://www.amazon.com/Lunker-Lore-Quest-Fish-Lifetime-ebook/dp/B077CM7LN8/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1548080746&sr=8-5&keywords=lunker

Why I Don't Buy Tackle From Ebay
No worries.

Why I Don't Buy Tackle From Ebay
Ebay or not, are you talking about selling or buying? You don't get charged when buying. As for people thinking it's just an Ebay thing, go look at Seaguar fishing line on Amazon and read the reviews. Lots of comments about respooled or rebranded line with the label on it.

Who has a good online selection of spinnerbaits?
Dick's, Tackle Warehouse, Bass Pro Shop, Cabelas and Discount Tackle are some great places to look. Don't pay retail because all of these place have discounts throughout the year. Discount always has 20% off.

Why I Don't Buy Tackle From Ebay
It's up to the buyer to do their own research. Too many times people blame the seller for when they get taken advantage of when the buyer didn't do his research first. Reminds me of all the people complaining about buying the Lowrance Hook2 7x fish finder. A lot of the negatives were because they didn't know it had maps with it or the ability to add them. Due diligence. I also see people spending more on Facebook auctions than they could buy directly from the maker.

Why I Don't Buy Tackle From Ebay
I think almost everyone understands that PayPal charges the selling a fee but we're not talking about sellers, we're talking about us purchasing product and it doesn't cost us anything extra. It cost sellers a fee when PayPay, credit cards or any finance companies are used to make a purchase. It's the cost of running a business.

Why I Don't Buy Tackle From Ebay
Too many high fees for what? It doesn't cost you anything extra when you buy stuff using PayPal.

What technique are you best at?
Power fishing. I like to cover a lot of water throwing chatterbaits, spinnerbaits and crankbaits.
-
Why I Don't Buy Tackle From Ebay
It doesn't. I think it's for the people who are worried about using their credit cards online and getting their info stolen. Using Paypal avoids that.

The latest sale thread
Fishermans Factory Outlet has another great sale going on right now. You can get money off of items they already have on sale. Can get a Revo ALX for $113.88 and they retail for $249.

Why I Don't Buy Tackle From Ebay
Couldn't the same be done on Amazon as well? They use third party vendors. There's a risk to buying from anyone, even a brick and mortar store. Some are riskier than others tough.

same fish?
I think it's very unlikely that a bass of that size was caught by you multiple times. There's a reason they get that big and it's not because they're dumb. Anything is possible but highly unlikely.

MLF Starts This Saturday!
Another great episode. I love seeing how these guys figure things out when the fishing is tough. I learn a lot from watching them.

MLF Starts This Saturday!
I completely agree. I never understood the people who dislike it and think it's a dink fest. I think they got too accustomed to half hour shows that were filmed over days and only show their best catches.

Closer together lines represent steep inclines or declines. Further apart lines represent gradual inclines or declines.

How is this new MLF going to work?
I'm surprised you guys haven't heard about this.

Second Season Kayak Bassin'
Stick with what you’re confident in. I bring 6 rods with me and will usually try them all in a day. Chatterbait is my confidence lure and what I use the most. Always have a top water lure on like a frog or whopper plopper. Always have a squarebill crankbait on. Always have a spinnerbait on. Always have some kind of fitness bait on like a senko. Last one will most likely have a swimbait or something like that on it. So, four casting and two spinning setups. These are the lures I start with but will most likely be a little different by the end of the day.

Ideal new fishing kayak setup - $3-5k complete
Hobies are going to be considered the best by most and they better be for the price they charge. Old Town makes some really good pedal kayaks. The Native Titan looks like a great pedal kayak that’s stable. I went with the NuCanoe Frontier 12 because stability, open deck and versatility were important to me and I don’t think any other kayak can offer what they do. I added a pedal drive to mine and I love that I can remove it when I don’t want to use it. I can easily had a second seat to it and make it a tandem when I want as well. Very affordable too.
