MLF Fantasy League?
For the new pro series coming up? They said they are working on that but I don't think they'll have it ready for this year.

Spinner bait trailer recommendation?
If you don't like swapping out trailers all the time then I recommend something that's Elaztech.

I get emails from eBay. I also get notifications on my phone from the app.

Smart phone Fishing apps
As a kayak tourney angler I use the TourneyX app. It's needed to submit fish in tourneys and it's free but I pay the yearly membership for the added features. The added features keep track of all my results from tourneys and every fish I've submitted. It will show me on a map where I caught them, what time of day it was and the pic of the fish. Other than that I use Navionics and weather apps.

Bass as Pets.
I had looked into keeping bass before and read that it's very difficult. The one guy said that it's hard to keep up with feeding them since they're not like goldfish that can be fed with basic fish food. I don't think it's worth the time and money unless you had a pond that you could stock bait fish in with it.

Fishing Hats
There’s more than one reason to wear a hat. I wear hats a lot. It’s not just to keep the sun out of my eyes. I wear them because I like the way they look. Sometimes it’s just to keep my hair covered. Sometimes it’s for protection. I’ll wear it backwards for looks occasionally. Other times I wear it backwards because the bill is in the way.

Fishing Hats
I prefer wearing flex fit hats as I occasionally like to wear my hat backwards and hate how snap back hats look that way.

What are your fishing goals for 2019?
My goal is to fish more kayak tourneys next year and so far have a good schedule planned out. First goal is to finish in the top 100 in the KBF National Championship. My next goal is to do well enough in three regional events so I qualify for the KBF Regional Championship. I also want to fish in a few local tourneys and finish in the top 15 for AOY. Next year will be very telling whether I can consider myself not only one of the better kayak fishermen in the state but also in the nation.

'Best'/Favorite place to buy tackle and the like!?!
I don't have any local tackle shops and the box stores that have some stuff do not have very good options. Almost all of my buying is online and through TW. I will shop around and find some deals from other sites though.

What's the best bass fishing lake around Shreveport?
I've settled on Caddo for spending most of my time on and will try Cross as a back up if need be. Got my cabin booked and tourney fees paid already. I've been trying to do as much research as possible for Caddo and feel I know the lake fairly well for never being there. If anyone here has experience fishing Caddo in March any input would be greatly appreciated.

Favorite all around tackle brand?
I'm a big fan of Z-Man. I started with their chatterbaits and now use their soft baits as well. I love Gary Yamamoto baits but I can't stand replacing them after almost every fish. I haven't found anything as durable as the Elaztech baits yet.

BioSpawn still has their sale going on. Can get 40% if you spend $50. It takes the discount off the $50 too unlike TW.

The President reel is the better reel and better overall deal. Fishing Online has great deals right now. The Chatterbait Jackhammer is on sale for $12.79 along with a lot of other great deals. https://www.newyorker.com/culture/culture-desk/what-happens-when-a-bad-tempered-distractible-doofus-runs-an-empire

Kayak Modifications
Gear tracks. Use gear tracks so you have flexibility to put accessories in multiple locations without worrying about them being permanent. You don't want to be putting holes in your kayak because you mounted something in a place you don't like.

Fisherman's factory outlet has 25% off right now. My brother-in-law and I just bought the last 3 right handed Abu Garcia ALX reels for $105 each. They were already 44% off and then another 25% off. They still have some left handed ones if that's your style.

Chatterbait color
You really only need two colors. Get a dark color for stained water and a lighter, shad-like color for clearer water. I think Black/Blue is a must and then I'd get one in white or maybe like a sexy shad color.

Making the change to a Yak
I wouldn't worry too much about not being able to demo even though that's all you'll hear from most people. I've bought two kayaks so far and never sat in them before I bought. I did a ton of research before I bought though. Make sure you have a good idea of what you want out of a kayak. Watch a lot of YouTube videos and read articles first. This will help give you an idea of what all your options are. This is how I started and I had a decent idea of what I wanted to do and found something in my price range. I was very happy with my first purchase, the Pelican Catch 120, but after two years fishing out of it I started to find out more of what I ultimately wanted in a fishing kayak. I knew I wanted an open deck and more stability. I also wanted something that offered a lot of flexibility. I didn't want to be stuck with a design I didn't like, such as a console or storage unit in the middle of the floor. For your price range I would recommend the NuCanoe Flint. I know a lot of people also like the Feel Free Lure 11.5 and the Vibe Sea Ghost 110.

Planning to buy a new kayak come spring.
I started with a Pelican Catch 120 and fished with it for two summers. This year I upgraded to a NuCanoe Frontier 12. The reason I went with the F12 was because it's so stable and open to modifications. It's so easy to add a pedal drive to or a motor to the back or even the bow. It has endless options for adding accessories and seating. I feel it's the most stable and versatile kayak on the market. I also like their customer support.

Am I the only one who likes winter fishing?
The lakes will be froze over around me but I don't care to ice fish. I prefer open water and the only open water around me are streams. The winter time is when I go trout fishing. I love it during the winter. Not many people go that time of year so I usually have the entire stream to myself. In most cases the trout haven't had any pressure for well over a week. Since I'm walking the stream I stay warm so the cold isn't an issue other than ice on the rod tip. The coldest I fished in was 10 degrees. If I'm out of the wind and it's sunny it makes for a beautiful day out in the country.

New Pro Fishing League Idea
That's awesome although the guy in the video has been working on this concept for a couple years now, at least that's what he said. Regardless, it sounds cool to me. I like that fact that someone is trying to find ways to get more fans. I agree it would be extremely hard but it's not my time and money so I'm all for it. As for it being an individual sport, there are plenty of sports like that. Baseball is a team sport that relies a lot on individual performance. Bowling, while not real popular, can be a team sport that strictly relies on individual performance. Racing can be a team sport that relies on individual performance. There are other sports as well.
