I think the whole "happy holidays" thing is lame. I mean, if it where not for CHRISTmas, then there wouldn't be a holiday season!

I have never used one, but i have heard that the Live Pointer and Live Sammy's wire that conect the joints is fragile. Some guys say they break after a couple of fish. I would get the normal sammy for this reason. Who wants a $15+ lure to snap in half? Just my .03

I read that if you fall through ice (or out of boat) and cant get out (or in boat) Then you should stay as still as possible, arms and knees folded to you chest. This is suposed to keep you alive %50 longer than treading water, infact treading water decreases your time of survival. (somthing to do with water acting as a insulater) True or false?

LOL all i know is that the slugs we have around here have the WORST slime. If you get it on your hands it wont come off for a week, no matter how many times you wash them. I think they would make great bobber or drop shotting bait. Just wear gloves.

Well if you dont want to drink, dont go to a party. Thats like not wanting to buy anything, and going into BPS. It just doesnt work. And besides, you cant be the only one in the school who doesn't go out drinking. If some one trys to make you drink, buy telling you "oh they will make fun of you at collage" then why would you want to be their friend anyway? Just keep on keeping on.

Maybe its from somone casting a 2oz weight? Or maybe its a fish/crawdad nest. I know sunnies and bass dig out the sand and make a small indent for their nests.... But i think Troutfishers idea is the most probable

Wow that thing is sweet! Send a Email to BPS, they are buying vintage fishing gear. I saw a add in their catalog. But if i where you i would keep that thing, put it in a steel reinforced bullet proof vacumed glass case, let it sit on the mantel for 60 years, then sell it for double!

In my humble opinion, That mercury level stuff is all bogus. I live on crosswicks creek, 500 yards from Oakford Lake. This small lake was one of the top two mercury level lakes in the state. This summer i swam in this lake (on avrage) 4 times a week. Several hours at a time. A few times i had to drink from this lake. (we where canoeing 2 miles up with no water, in 90* temps) The mecury is suposed to be on the fish's slime coating. I handled pickerel and bass all summer, getting my hands very slimy. I would wash them in the lakes water, then eat my packed lunch. Basicly every day i did this. I didn't get a single sickness the whole summer. My whole family had the head colds, exept me. I got a phisical a few weeks ago, and i'm as heathy as they come, mercury level in my blood is normal. When people see me swimming, the ask me "how could you swim in that stuff?!" I just tell them "Its easy, Just paddle with your arms and legs and you'll swim!" If anything, it helps build a good imune system. Dont fret about eating those fish, a little mercury is good for you. (just MHO)

Avid: Yes, the link says it has a air bubble inside making it float. They also say this air bubble alows the bait to calapse when hit, helping the hookset.
