  1. To a gazebo:
  2. @Bdnoble84, At the website @A-Jay provided, it shows the blade, but it looks like it is reinforced with metal where the snap is attached. Let us know what you do and whether it works. Good Luck.
  3. @WRB, Thanks for bringing back this topic. I joined BR about 5 years ago, so did not read this topic until now.
  4. TH' spot is no longer made. It had flat sides, the BBs inside were probably lead, so probably similar to the Rat-L-Trap @Jaderose mentioned. Cotton Cordell now make the Super Spot. It has contoured sides ("belly" is fatter), and fishes a little shallower (if I remember correctly how the TH' Spot fished). Note - I think the Rat-L-Trap no longer has lead BBs in it. The newer ones I have sound like steel (something harder than lead) when I shake the lure.
  5. @Catt, I went to the Zoom site and they have 16 colors containing the word "Watermelon", but no "Watermelon Slice". Maybe the color is discontinued? Watermelon Seed Watermelon Chartreuse Watermelon Red Blue Watermelon Watermelon Candy Watermelon Purple Glitter Watermelon Gold Watermelon Crawfish Watermelon Green Orange Watermelon Red Pearl Watermelon Red Chartreuse Green Pumpkin Watermelon Watermelon Candy Red Watermelon Magic Watermelon Red Magic Watermelon Orange
  6. The olive stuff looks like some sort of feather, possibly marabou?
  7. Yes, I agree. I am able to do that with my car, but this is my mother's car, and I'm not always available to do that.
  8. I'm looking for a automobile battery charger. It will be used to keep my mother's car battery from dying while the car sits in the garage. Is there a decent charger for around $50? If so, what brand and model? Thanks.
  9. Here's what I found in a couple of tackle boxes . . . first 2 photos: Both say "KING SPOT" on one side, the other side has DOLL on one, CORDELL on the other. These are among the first "SPOTS" I bought as a kid. Not sure why one has DOLL, the other CORDELL. These two do not contain rattles, just one loose weight that "knocks". One of my favorite lures when I was a kid (maybe because I only had a couple lures). 3rd photo: All CORDELL. Top "TH' SPOT", third from top "Ratt'l Spot", second from top "Suspending Ratt'l Spot", bottom "Super Spot" (in Smokey Joe color). Both "TH' SPOT" and "Ratt'l Spot" have totally flat sides, "Super Spot" has contoured sides with fatter belly. From the sound, "TH' SPOT" seems to have lead BB's inside. The others sound like steel BB's or something non-lead. 4th photo: CORDELL "Rattl Spot Minnow" Tip: Drill a hole in the belly. Then you can add or subtract BB's to make them lighter or heavier.
  10. @DanielG, You should keep your submarine bait, it has an interesting wobble when you were testing it close to shore. Maybe you should retrieve it slower, at the speed you tested it. It might not dive as deep as you envisioned, but could be effective nonetheless.
  11. @CoolestCornet99, Here's something different you can try (don't know if it will work): Use a lipless crankbait, walk the bank and cast everywhere, try all depths and try different retrieves. If the water is all discolored, try chartreuse. Let us know how you fare, and what works for you. Good luck. I Googled Lakeshore park - can you fish from the island, or is that all private property (people's backyards)?
  12. @CoolestCornet99, Are you referring to Lakeshore park in Newark? Quarry Lakes in Fremont is nearby. Maybe you should try there. Check to make sure it is still open before you go. You can Google "East Bay Regional Park District". I think it is something like www.ebparks.org.
  13. Are you asking about hand-made hardbaits, or the ones you purchase from manufacturers?
  14. @flyfisher, what is the material you used for the tail?
  15. There is an existing topic about your first question. You can see some of the existing replies: Sorry, can't help with your other question.

  17. @Harold Scoggins, Maybe you need to take up a second hobby, like singing. You can start with this song:

  22. According to the California Department of Fish and Wildlife: Current Distribution Currently, snakeheads are not established in California. The only confirmed report of snakehead in California was a single northern snakehead (Channa argus) collected from Silverwood Lake in San Bernardino County in 1997. Actions Taken if Found If this species is found in California, do not release it. Preserve (freeze) the specimen and immediately contact the CDFW Invasive Species Program, or email us at Invasives@wildlife.ca.gov, or (866) 440-9530.

  24. This topic looks very familiar. I did a search: Mystery hook By iahick23, March 21, 2017 in Fishing Tackle I'm not sure how to link the topic, so you'll have to do a manual search.
