  5. @bulldog1935, I don't do any saltwater fishing, so I'm just curious - are those glow-in-the-dark beads in the microplugs? If so, are the plugs made like that or do you add the beads to them?
  6. I made a second donation - let's get the total to at least $500.
  7. Not sure why I bought it. I'm not going to use it.
  8. Wishing the best for both of you.

@DanielG, Where have you been hiding? I don't think I've seen one of your creations in a long time. Tell us how it works.
  10. Several reasons why I prefer the Moyle book: 1) My McGinnis book is old - 1984! My Moyle book is more recent - 2002 2) For each fish, the Moyle book contains information about identification (stuff like number of fin rays, pharyngeal teeth, gill rakers, etc), taxonomy, names, distribution, life history, etc. 3) The McGinnis book is (like you stated) a field guide. So the information is spread out in two, or more sections. Both books are good, it just depends on what you prefer. My McGinnis book only has ~300 pages, so your newer edition probably has a lot more info than the edition I have. You got a bargain.
  11. I have the following two books: 1) Inland Fishes of California (Peter B. Moyle - listed as Professor of Fish Biology UC Davis) 2) Freshwater Fishes of California (Samuel M. McGinnis - listed as Professor of Biology Cal State Hayward) I mostly use the first book; it is not a field guide. I also use many online resources as those have photographs. Who wrote your book? A $6 book is a great deal!
  12. Found this on the internet:
  13. I'm not going to ask what happened to your briefs.
  14. Your wife allows you in the house many times a week? LOL
  15. @Bass_Fishing_SoCal Yes, you are correct. There was a sub-forum to ask James Niggemeyer questions.
  16. Good to hear the surgery went well.
  17. Thinking of you both.
  18. @scaleface I think it will work if you put the weight in the right spot. It reminds me of that Mann's Crawdad.
  19. Happy Birthday!
  20. @A-Jay, I thought "Old Guy Pull Ups" were those metal tabs to open your beer/soft drink?
  21. When I first read this, I thought they were dragging the bottom looking for your buddy.
  22. I think Starlink satellites are in Low Earth Orbit, therefore not geostationary. You can look at the following link for some geostationary satellites: https://www.n2yo.com/satellites/?c=10
  23. @boostr I assume Catch, Photo, Release?
  24. I hope the "food" isn't the stuff you posted in the "Any Interest In Trapping" forum. ?
