Favorite bait to fish and most productive bait....
My most productive bait is a the 5in Senko but my most favorite to fish is topwater baits like a LC Sammy or a buzzbait. There is just something about a big o bass jumping out of the water and destroying a topwater bait.

Sale @ BPS LuckyCraft Cranks/Sammy -update-
I picked some of these up last year and unfortunately paid full price. So thanks for the heads up. As far as which ones I like, my favorite is the 2.5 size in the Pearl Green Shad.

Lake Pics.....Lets see your spot...
I usually don't mix my two hobbies (fishing and photography) but here is a photo of Eagle Creek in Indianapolis at sunset.

Real Senkos just became cheaper than knockoffs!
I'm with RW on glueing a Senko back together. I find that if I keep them rigged properly (hook slightly barried) they last as long as most other stick baits that I have tried. I have noticed that the Senkos that I have ripped have occured during extreme heat or when they are stored in a car or boat on a hot day. I have not notice this occuring with Yum Dingers though.

MegaStrike Evolution Jigs?
Cool, an answer straight from the source. I plan on using these jigs next weekend and I'll see how they hold up. If work as stated above, maybe I'll make the switch. Thanks for the response. It's great to have a forum like this were you can get info from the manufacture.

The Best and Worst of the NFL - Wk. 5
Being from Indy, I have to say the Colts are the best of week 5. I can't wait to see what happens this weekend with the Pats and Cowboys. My heart says go Cowboys but head says if the Pats watch what happend Monday night against the Bills, it will be a slaughter.

Going to buy lures for the RIVER...help
I caught five Smallies on Mepps in line spinnerbaits last Friday in the White River here in Indianapolis. My personal favorite has been the Black Furies. There is nothing like a river smallie.

Your Christmas Present
: Funny you should say that, 10 years ago I got a Lazy Boy coach for Christmas. No words or hints were needed.

Big Game
Been there and done that. I tried 6lb on two spinning reels at the beginning of the year and like it a lot but it is hard to find around here in Indy. Gander Mountain is the only place that I have found it and they want around $10 for 300 yards. I plan on getting some more of it when I need it. Right now I have about 3000 yards of regular YoZuri Hybrid to go through first.

Best dropshot rod under $200
The St. Croix TBS69MLXF would make for a fine dropshot rod. You might be able to find one clearenced out somewhere at a great price.

Your Christmas Present
My wife would sniff that one out. Anything that ends up under the tree is investigated to the very end. I did try this tactic one year and I blamed my purchase (Laptop and Ipod) on Santa. The kids are now scared for life ;D.

MegaStrike Evolution Jigs?
I picked up a few of these to replace a couple Booyah jigs that I lost last weekend. These suckers were $10 for two. Are they worth it? Compared to the Booyah jigs I usually buy, they're double the price. They look cool but do they catch fish as well as others? I wanted to give something different a try and baitmonkey said, "Here, buy this."

Big Game
I used Big Game and XL for years. Big Game is good line at a great price. I had a spool of it that kept breaking on me and decided to see what else was out there. The search keeps going and I have not gone back to Big Game since.

Bait buying compulsive disorder.....
It has got to stop sometime, right? It has reached the point were my kids are telling me, "No more fishing stuff!!!!!". My wife has given up. But I am not as bad as my fishing buddy. He was a chain smoker for years and decided to quit. He then saved all the money he would have spent on smokes, insurance, etc. for a new Daiwa Steez and a G. Loomis MBR783C GLX. Well a year or so has passed since his purchase and he has not smoked since but he'll spend about $30-$50 a week on Lucky Craft, Megabass, or Rapala lures. He won't stop. The bait monkey has replaced his Camels with some pretty sweet equipment.

Tackle boxes
I now use a Jansport 3 Day Hiker backpack. I can put a bunch of tackle in this thing, including my lunch, cell phone, a few beers, etc. It's a lot easier to carry than my old plano 777 plus it has a lifetime warranty. I sent one back to them years ago and got a new one in the mail about 2 months later. It may have taken awhile but I still got a new one.

Other uses for Mossyback besides jigs and worms...
I have the BCR803 GLX and I have tried using it for spinnerbaits and some crankbaits but it was overkil. Jigs and worms are were this rod is best at.

Yo-Zuri Hybrid for dedicated plastics rig
Ultra Soft is a great choice and a lot of guys on this forum have nothing but great things to say about. If you want to stay with flurocarbon, you might try Berkley's new flurocarbon. It has been great line for me and so far it is my favorite of all the flurocarbons I have tried.

Army HAWK Missile Air Defense, Korea 1974
Great photos and thanks for your service to our country. My father was sent to Korea in 1951. He was deployed from a far worse place than Korea, Fort Polk, LA (or so he told me many times). Eventhough he was sent to war, he always said Korea was a vaction from Fort Polk. Oddly enough when he passed away in 1998, a Korean Catholic priest gave his military burial. While he was speaking my mom leaned over and said, "I think your father shot a few of those". Not that appropriate but we all got a laugh out of it, at what was the hardest time we had ever faced.

Child - proof Drawers
My wife is a teacher and professional tutor. Her job has take her all over the place including a graduate early chidhood development class. In this class they did an experiment with a control group of 200 kids (12-24months) spanning a two months using objects that where supposed to be child proof; bottles, doors, locks, pill bottles and believe it or not an unloaded gun. The results were that about 20% of the kids could open, use, or figure out the function of the object. The odd thing was that the most of those 20% could figure out all the objects Kids are amazing given no parental suppervision. If they want something bad enough they will figure it out.

A few weird things I saw while fishing today......
I live in Indiana I saw two things that I think don't belong here. The first was a graylag goose. I saw with a group of Canadian Geese. I didn't think much of it at first but then I thought, I have never seen one in Indiana or anywhere in the Midwest for that matter. The second thing really caught me off guard. I was fishing from the bank at a local friends apartment complex and got my hook stuck in some weeds and slop about 3 inches deep in water. When I reached down I saw a flash of blue and black on the top of water. I pulled my hand back and started to take a closer look at the brush and water around me. That's when I saw several small little frogs with black bodies and bright blue on top. They look like those poison dart frogs I have seen at the pet stores. I looked on the internet I found this picture.

Colts flying under the Radar!!! WHY?
I live here in Indy and love the Colts. I get plenty of local coverage on the Colts so I don't mind if don't get alot of national coverage. We have only played four games and it still early. When we get late in the season the Colts media bus starts to revup. We'll have to wait and see. As far as New England goes, I think will get tons of media time because of Moss and the cheating incident and lets face it, they're good. As an Indy fan, I have always suspected that they have been cheating because of the plays that Offensive cordinator Tom Moore has called always seem to be picked up on by New England's D. The one's that the Colts burn them on are the ones in which Manning points to Reggie Wayne, Marvin Harrison and now Dallas Clark and he holds out a finger indicating the route they run. No one else knows but the receiver and Manning. Sometimes the best plays are the ones you draw in the dirt. Oh, one more thing on New England, did anybody ever notice the eye gouging going on after the plays have been called dead? How many players got their eyes poked at Bengals game, 3 or 4? It is rough game but come on, these are good enough that there is no need for this kind of BS.

St. Louis Lambs
I don't think they can beat Arizona. They have played tough all year. They have had 3 games decided by a field goal. They played some solid D against Pittsburg and their offensive with a two quarterback setup, is going to confuse most NFL defenses. I do hope that the Rams can turn things around though. I don't see them being the worst in the league. That distiction belongs to the Bills or maybe the Dolphins.
