  1. we had a black snake fall into the boat one day when we were pitching this dock. my cousin jump outta his boat, onto the dock, and left me in the boat with the snake. ?
  2. a rubber snake or big fake spider never gets old
  3. sinking, probably not two big fellers setting the hook at the same time, or walking around in it, might pitch one or both of you into the lake. not that it’s ever happened to me before ?
  4. beautiful
  5. i’m jealous. dang!
  6. to answer the questions, probably and maybe. i will throw anything!......as long as it’s Zoom ?
  7. i threw purple worms forever, mostly Culprit and Renegade. nowadays, the great spotted bass invasion around here has made green pumpkin/chartreuse the odds on favorite, and the largemouth seem to love it too. but it isnt the “be all-end all” choice for me. i still catch plenty of both species on june bug too and wont hesitate to throw it.
  8. looks alot like Lake Norman
  9. in our neck of the woods, i’ll start hitting the warming trends around the second half of February. after then, i wont be worth killin’ ?
  10. some people i know think that bass fishing is sitting on the bank with a tub of worms and a cooler full of beer. ? ....sorry about your paw paw Gundog
  11. dad burnit, i just liked a 4 year old post ?
  12. we used to mix mortar in those things! ? j/k
  13. late winter, late Feb/early March, swt in the mid/upper 40’s, main lake and secondary points, deep brush piles. but i’ve also found them quite shallow during a warming trend. i like afternoons.
  14. WOW
  15. craw worms, but that’s fixin’ to change!
  16. ....and short sleeves! ?
  17. get well soon dave. like the other guys have already posted, some of us have to deal with this too. Metamucil and oatmeal helps keep me cleaned out but every now and then.....ugh.
  18. we have been catching fish with lizards for years, not only in the Spring either. they’ll hit em March thru December, 1’ down to 25’. we prefer the 5” Zoom lizards in green pumpkin (dipped in chartreuse Spike It) and june bug, texas rigged with a 3/16 bullet and 3.0 offset worm hook. why use the 5”? spotted bass, but we’ve caught some hefty largemouth on em too. i’ll order up to 30 bags at time. smh
  19. congrats Saints on a gritty win. it took alot to knock my Eagles out of the playoffs but yall did it.
  20. a yellow road runner with a curly tailed grub, fished in the inflow current, or right up on the bank, has worked for me in the past. you’re liable to catch anything from bass to crappie to giant bream.
