  5. https://www.pinterest.com/pin/3448137187853781/ i live about 30 miles N of Charlotte, NC and remember Hurricane Hugo in ‘89. it came up through here in the middle of the night with 90 mph winds after coming ashore earlier in Charleston, SC a Cat 4. that’s over 200 miles inland! it tore this place apart. i had firewood for the next two years. we dont want no more. ....here is another link with a nice video https://www.charlotteobserver.com/news/local/article218124850.html

  11. although it’s still hot and steamy here in NC, with swt’s in the low to mid 80’s, i have been finding spots and largemouth schooled up along with the bait, in coves, in 10-16 fow. and i mean LOTS of them. now this may be due to the thermocline, fall pattern or whatever, i dont care. when i start seeing them on the Garmin, i start casting, usually fan casting right out in the middle of the coves. you can catch them on a variety of lures til they get wise to you, then it’s time to move on. fish have also been busting on shad right in the middle of the day too. blue bird sky, no wind, whatever. loads of fun.

yesterday, Hawaii defeated Georgia 3-0 to win the US Championship and S Korea got by Japan 2-1 to win the International Championship, setting the stage for the LLWS Championship game played this afternoon. both teams pretty much dominated their brackets and entered the title game unbeaten. ....and Hawaii wins it all by shutting down the powerful S Korean squad 3-0! i cant tell you just how much i enjoy this spectacle each year and will look forward to next August when the boys of summer once again take the field. thanks to ESPN (ABC) for bringing even the regional games into our living rooms for us to enjoy baseball in it’s purest form.
