me and my cousin got after them again today in the little johnny. this pair of largemouths came off the same lay down in 15+ fow. we caught 36 in all, mostly spots, from 6:30 til noonish.

this hawk decided to dry off out by our pool deck after another round of showers passed through.

i’m good while i’m fishing but the ride back to the house gets me all stoved up in my back. my wife just shakes her head.

i fish a small lake near me, in my jon boat, and for the last two Sundays some guy in a kayak has jumped in front of me, came all the way across the lake to do it too. first time, i cranked up and and left, but yesterday i promptly trolled right by him and took up position about 20 yards in front of him. he said nothing and i did not have any problems with him after that. i honestly think he is clueless but i WILL say something if it continues.

me and my cousin hit the water around 7 this morning in the little johnny. skies were mostly cloudy and an easy SW breeze made for perfect conditions. we caught 39 spots and 2 largemouth.

we got caught in a bad thunderstorm about 5 years ago. it came up quickly at 10 am, and by the time we checked our weather app on the smart phone, a run back to the ramp was not an option. we were fortunate enough to find a covered boat slip to hide under, but even with that, it was scary. the wind, hail, and lightning was all around us and every time a bolt cracked nearby my heart skipped. no thanks ?
