Topwater In December!
Awesome! My day began with dense fog. Had the lake to myself though. Kinda spooky til it burnt off. Only caught two, a nice spot on a lipless crank and this 2 pound LM on a worm. Christmas is upon us but it sure does'nt seem like it.

Here Goes
Once, this possum tunneled under my HVAC pad where he commenced to die. Every time my AC came on it filled the house with his dead self. Took me a while but I dug him out. The End

Well, The Weather Was Good...
I hooked two dinkies on a gold/black red-eye shad and one keeper on a Zoom worm. The chilly fog did not burn off til about 1 or so. Water temps on Davidson Lake are around 55ish. Found the bait, found the fish, but could'nt close the deal today. Very frustrated, the last three days have been good. Not today.

Catawba River
Been fishing Lake Norman the last two days, predominantly up river. Today we were up around Terrapin Creek when we saw it, a bald eagle. The bird flew in front of us and landed in a tall pine, white head and tail with a dark main body. It was not an Osprey, those pretty common on Norman. We tried, in vain, to get close enough to snap a pic but the bird flew off as we neared the tree. I've heard about bald eagles being spotted up that way but this is the first time for me. It was beautiful and we were in awe. As for the fishing, we've found stained water and 54-55 degree temps. Fishing has been pretty good too, 9 yesterday, 11 today, mostly spots in the 1-2 lb range. Thats all I got right now.

Top Rain Suits
Same here and I'm in NC. I've worn mine over the top of my cold weather gear as well. Durability issues aside, they allow me freedom of motion and are easily stowed.

I like a minnow and a slip cork for crappie. Small bream for big cats. Lures for the bass. But that's just me. I aint skeered of anchoring down either. My pb Blue Cat (18+) was caught on a low down, minnow stealing, varmint of a bream, that I tail-hooked to a c-rig and let him do the rest!- Sentenced
