my cousin is my fishing partner 90% of the time. we do it the same way plus, rider buys the biscuits. we do take my boat most of the time. it doesn't bother me. he's one of the funniest guys i know and can really fish. heck, i'm going fishing anyways with or without him!

i have not been out since 12/29, mostly by choice. we started a bathroom job along with some other small jobs after the new year. gonna try and sink a couple dozen trees by the end of next week. it wont be long now.

my favorite way may not be the best way, but i fish for them just like i would for largemouth. texas rigged lizards/worms, shakey heads, and lipless cranks. deep docks, brush, deeper structure in general. alotta guys are working the dropshot too, i aint there yet. the lakes i fish here in NC have plenty of spots. i love catching them. edit: depending on where you are, downsizing just a little with the plastics may help you some. good luck.

I've always been the frugal sort. As a kid/teen, I walked the banks. When my kids were young and times were lean, I had a 12' johnny and a trolling motor. In '92 I bought a used 16' Sea Nymph /25 hp Johnson and used that old gal for 20 years until I retired from the water works. I now have my '96 Javelin. Fishing IS the ONLY hobby I have. If I'm not on the water, I'm thinking about it, reading about it, watching it on tv, and like now, talking to you guys about it. I spend my "side money" on tackle and gas, and I can be on the lake in 15 minutes when the urge hits me. Life is good.

Right now the only one I'm getting is North Carolina Game & Fish for the local aspect. But they aint what they used to be. My stash goes back to the early 90,s, it was a much thicker mag then, more "good stuff". This time of year I'll reference all the pre-spawn vols., dreaming about hoisting fat girls over the side of the boat. brb
