  1. The reel has been used only once. $60 shipped. PM me if interested. Box is included.
  2. I have the original tatula 72MHR I could give you a great deal on. I just don't care for the reel seat which is a deal breaker for me. PM me if you are interested.
  3. How does that model of avid handle senkos and light texas rigs?
  4. I agree on the 703. I bought it as a plastics rod but the tip is way too soft for my liking. IMO it is best suited to small spinnerbaits and poppers. Have you tried any of the other Dobyns lines I mentioned?
  5. So I am starting to get more into the sport, and would like to have a couple more rods to fill out my arsenal. For my first dedicated finesse rod, I am considering -Dobyns702 Colt, Fury, Sierra) -Okuma TCS 7 foot medium light -Shimano exage 7 foot medium -Zodias 7 foot medium -Falcon Bucco 7 foot medium light The rod would be used primarily for ned rigs. Ideally I don't want to spend more than $100(street price). I also would like an all purpose casting rod for some lighter plastics, topwater, flukes, maybe backup spinnerbait setup, etc. I have been looking a lot at the SC Avid or Avid X 7ftMF. I have a fury 703 but I don't like to use it for plastics because the tip is so soft. I am willing to spend more on this rod as it will ideally be some of a all purpose combo for bank or canoe/kayak fishing. Any other choices? Powell endurance 683 or 723?
  6. So I recently purchased 2 of the TCS rods, the 691MH and the 701H. I paired them both with curado K's, and I have to say that I am very impressed. The rods are very light, balanced, and they look sweet. I am wondering about the TCS reels. Do anyone have any comments on them? Do they compare to the curado?
  7. My tatula SV skips baits fairly well even my first time trying to skip.
  8. Do you primarily cast or pitch the bait? The 2.0 carbonlite is a sick looking rod but I'm unsure if the tip is too stiff for senkos.
  9. Yea I fish a lot of very grassy northern lakes. I may end up going with the powell, as it is a lighter medium heavy which may be the best compromise.
  10. do you feel the rod loads properly with the senko?
  11. I'm not really a micro guides guy, so do you think the same applies to the avid?
  12. How much of an advantage do you think the zillion gives over the Tat SV
  13. Mine is the same-when I go below 8 bad things start to happen suddenly. Which rod do you mean has more backbone? The mojo or the avid/avid X?
  14. How much of an advantage do you think the zillion gives over the Tat SV?
  15. Why do you prefer about the avid over the mojo? The are both the SCIII blank. The only advantage I see the Tat has over the Chronarch would be skipping, so that definitely makes me lean towards the Chronarch!
  16. I originally bought that exact rod for this purpose, but the rod is a lot more moderate than I would prefer. I really like it for topwater baits, though.
  17. So I am upgrading my gear to technique specific rods, and am looking for a rod dedicated to senkos/small texas rigs and maybe flukes. I prefer casting gear, and have been considering -Powell Endurance 683 -Phenix Feather 6 9 MH -St Croix Mojo 6 8 Medium extra fast For the reel, I am looking at -tat SV -Met MGL -Chronarch MGL I have started to become a bit of a Shimano fanboy after purchasing several Curado K's, and have been curious about their higher end reels for a while. I also have a tat SV which I really like(especially for skipping), though. Would like to keep the setup under $400ish if possible.
  18. the handle on my revo s seems to have come a bit loose> How do I fix this?
  19. I have read that some poeple seem to think the #15 is too stiff...a little concerning given that i just ordered some. Antone have experience with yo zuri #15?
  20. im talking about small paddle tail(shadalicious, keitech) not the big baits
  21. Most elite series pros use powerpro
