My Salmon Trip on Lake Huron
Well I think we came a little late this year and missed the big run as we saw quite a few dead Salmon on shore. Anyway we caught two decent size ones both have already been ate, last year had 16. We were out all night long in weighters. This is the following morning when we decided to call it a trip. Some people keep the eggs out of the females to cure them over the year so they can use them the following year but we just said to hell with it and had em gutted so we could go home and eat.

Reaction Innovations Sweet Beaver
What are the Sweet Beavers most productive colors for dark water? Im thinking about going and picking up a couple bags over the winter when I have some cash to throw around. Lots of the ones I saw all had some sort of red in it, almost all of them actually. They only had two bags left of the Dirty Sanchez so I baught one.

Megabait craw cranks
I never fished with them but if I were you id buy them.. Megabait is out of business last I checked so hold onto those lures brand new for a few years and make a killin on ebay.

How come nobody uses goldfishes?
This is one of the more interesting posts ive read. That LC bait looks incredible. Chris, you caught a 10 lb Gold Fish?
-
This is for you guys withotu depth finders.....
I myself hate jigs, and it actually will hurt my overall performance by not taking the time to use and continually learn them. They are proven lunker magnets but what you do with crankbaits is one of the reasons crankbaits are one of the best baits out there. Some people dont even use them to catch fish they just use them to locate structure as you mentioned. The Stone Jig is excellent and the only Jig I used that I ever caught anything on. Try lobin them under cover or skiping them across the water to get some extra strikes, good post.

Lucky Craft B-MH
You shouldnt need a trailer hook for any of Lucky Crafts lures. While were talking about their buzzbaits how do their spinnerbaits compare to say Terminators T1s?

The original Tennessee Shad
Why did they (some companies) make the color change from the old school Tennessee Shad to the newer ones you see? Personally I like the older style better.

Reaction Innovations Sweet Beaver
Close, I got mine on Hall road which is m-59.. actually I think thats the one! Its the only Reaction Innovations baits that they carry in which I saw some time ago. Its next to their YUM, Slug-Go, and GYCB stuff if I remember right.

Daiwa Zillion or Shimano 51MG
The 50mg you like better then the calais? : o like it better then the curado? Alright lets start over.. lol.. Daiwa Zillion or Shimano Chronarch 51MG? Its between those two does anyone own both the two reels mentioned in this post?
-
Daiwa Zillion or Shimano 51MG
What about the Daiwa Zillion, its only 50 dollars more.. does anyone own one of these?
-
Daiwa Zillion or Shimano 51MG
Well d**n, from the sounds of it I should just stick with my President or buy another President.. Didnt know the Currado had all those problems nor did I know Shimano got greedy and uped the price when they probably use to cost as much as the President. Very true, thats the only thing that ticks me off about Pfluegler reels.

Daiwa Zillion or Shimano 51MG
I helped my brother drop a motor in his rx-7 a few months back and he said he'd buy me any reel of my choice thats around 190-200 dollars retail. I own a Pheugler President WLPL and love it but would like to get another caster for another rod I have. Ive narrowed it down to two reels and need solid advice on which one to get. Please no fanboy remarks and by "fanboy" I mean people who only will use or buy one make of a reel (or anything) only if its made by say Shimano. With all that said im looking at the Shimano Curado D (CU201DHSV) the gear ratio is a little fast but you can always slow it down easyer for say crankbaits rather then having to speed it up because of it being too slow. The second choice is a Pheugler Supreme. I will be using the reel for everything.. in order crankbaits, jerkbaits, topwater, spinnerbaits, plastics. The difference between the two on paper that I see is about 40 dollars and 5 bearings.

what's favorite jig trailer
I've never tried it. You had good luck using it as a trailer? No sir, but I just found a bag in Dirty Sanchez that I cant wait to use today. Ill try them as a trailer on my Manns Stone Jiggs. I mentioned it as one because im hearing a lot about them all of a sudden and was shocked to find that I had a bag of them. It deffinatly was baught at Gander Mountain some time ago, so if you have one in your area chance are you can get them there or, at least, online.

Moving out of State, narrowing states down.
Thats a lot of great info Matt, thanks for it. I have one question about Texas's weather is it Humid like here in Michigan when its hot or is it dry heat like in Arizona? Traffic im not worried about, im from Detroit and we have way too much. Only place ive been to thats had more is NYC. What cities do you recommend in Texas? I cant afford no upperclass neighborhood but I dont want to ever see another slum like Detroit again, now I know there everywhere in every state but id like to be in the suburbs that arent too high price. Being close to (but not on water properties expensive anywhere) bodies of water is a major plus for me, just dont tell my wife .. Id love Amistad! Anyone have anything on Tennessee or Arizona?

hard to post this here
Well to be completely honest, school is not for me.. it never was. I have an entrepreneur mind and heart but I lack the funds to venture into anything for the time being and for quite some time. School is great and all and I recommend it for everyone even if you already have a job you should take classes here and there to forever be learning, knowledge is power. I would really like to break through into the fishing industry. That is where my hearts at, I really believe I could make it to a pro angler level but that is the wrong dream for me. Pro fishing would take the fun and love out of the sport for me because it would become a job. What I mean is working for a bait company or in some tackle shop or anything that has to do with fishing. Its my passion and something I could do working non stop. But back to school, it just isnt for me.. I cant sit in a classroom for hours on end. I learn differently and I dont mean im special ed or anything like that but I learn alot and learn it better when I learn it all by myself. Even employers saw that in me, no matter what job I ever had id always rise in position faster then others without even asking for it.

Moving out of State, narrowing states down.
Well my wife and I decided we deffinatly will be leaving Michigan, I love Detroit and all to death as well as the Great Lakes but its time to move on. My wife and I narrowed it down to three states based on current economy, economy plans in the works, schooling for our son, and weather. The three states we will deffinatly be decideing on is Arizona, Tennessee, and Texas. All have excellent fishing to lol, but thats not a main reason why were moving to one of those states (im siked about all three though). Can any of you guys who know these states or possibly live in each one shed some light and information on them? Maybe some of you live there.. vacationed there.. etc. Listing the Good and the Bad of each state from expierence would help us out a lot in our decision, thanks for any and all info.

the pennants are in view the trash is flying 2007
I still believe Detroit will win it, Cards won two games and Tigers well one. Leyland though will get these players on track fast. Dont forget we played the Cards in a 3 games series this year and swept them easyly. Tigers are lacking momentum right now that one week break hurt them. Rogers deffinatly needs to pitch more then two games for us though if were going to win.

Reaction Innovations Sweet Beaver
Yeah I just read that on their website, I overlooked the rig stuff. Arizona is very nice, I went to Tucson for a vatcation about 10 years ago. The weather is unbelieveable, hot weather there is always dry and not bad at all compared to here where its so humid. Also some fantastic fishing in AZ, fat hawgs. I mention that because their headquarted in AZ I believe, if I were you id try to get a job there or see if they can walk you through their production line. When you said their all the rave did you mean the Sweet Beavers? On a side note, my wife and I were strongly considering moving there. We narrowed it down to three states.. Arizona, Texas, or Tennessee.
