  1. My wife and I would like to go but we have no one to watch the kid, he's too young to be in a boat and out there. Itd probably be better without me though.. have fun guys.
  2. First off, you have had success with them so right there you know they work. 10 inches though is extremely big for a Bass. I never have saw a Bass lure that big.
  3. Has anyone ever found a sponser as a result of a topic they posted here?
  4. Dont ruin Kents honey hole, catch and release! Thatd be cool to run into someone off the forum out of no where.
  5. Excellent information, thanks for sharing.. I saved a copy.
  6. I think hes really just asking a simple question, id have to say it dont make any difference. I havent noticed anything bad nor good come from anything like you stated in your question BMA.
  7. Hey if your providing the boat, gas, and transportation its pretty much your show. I or anyone else who didnt have a boat etc would gladly tag along by your simple needs. Deffinatly his loss, not yours..
  8. If one could break Bass fishing down to a science, like you seem to be applying it wouldnt be as fun. Fish as with an living thing including us humans will always do things that are not so called "text book". Granted there are some things to help you improve catching Bass and more of them, there is and will always be things that are just out of our hands.
  9. A little after sunrise is good and a few hours after its completely dark. This gives the fish time to adjust to the light.
  10. That's very interesting, from what I heard and understand Bass see in pixels and can only pick up certain details like color, lines (not fishing line), etc..
  11. Make a large square or rectangle wood platform that will stand about 12 inches or less. Fill it with rocks and drag it into the desired area. Come check on it the following season. Its the only thing ive seen done in person that worked as well as made myself this year but am waiting to see it in spring.
  12. Actually while they make my favorite Flat CBs (LVRs) they're patterns are too flashy to be realistic. How is zero flash too flashy? Just look at all of their ghost patterns. They have realluy excelled in clear water for me. Brad Yeah your right, I dont know what I was really thinking must have been something else.
  13. GAMEOVER replied to a post in a topic in General Bass Fishing Forum
Yeah they usually hit in Michigan when the Salmon come to shore. My wifes sisters husband and I are going to Lake Huron tomorrow night all night to get some Salmon action then hitting some other bodies of water when the sun sets for some Small and Largemouth action.
  14. Excuse me, but alot of us on here are expierenced anglers who knows what will and what wont work. The crank you mentioned isnt a bad looking crank and im sure it catches fish. But a lot of these guys that have posted including myself are very effective with crankbaits. My personal better then all other crankbait is the Rapala DT, others like Norman, Bomber, Bandit, Manns, etc.. Next time you decide to insult or imply cockyness to someone or a group of people know that your talking to anglers (some with more then 20 years under their belt) who are expierenced.
  15. You can pick up tags at any sports store like Gander Mountain. They're cheap and dont harm the fish in anyway. I did however remove them all before releasing them into their new home. Id love to add some smallies in here but I feel thats pushing it on this body of water so I wont. Youd be suprised at how aggressive lots of these Largemouths are in here though.
  16. Rippin off hooks, ruining paint jobs, etc..
  17. Everyone loves LRod!
  18. Here is a drawing. Picaso at his best.. Some information about me and this water: I live in the bottem right apartment building, directly behind the weeping willow tree marked on the map. The water is directly out my back slide glass door. Im 23 years old with a wife and a 2 year old son. My wife and I enjoy fishing here everyday when the weather allows it. I use these waters as my testing grounds for many many lures, rod setups, and just pure enjoyment. I also use them to get away from the wife and kid (dont get me wrong I love em but everyone needs an outlet) just dont let my wife know. I get out to Lake St.Clair, Lake Erie, and the Detroit River when ever I get a chance (or can find a boat). Unfortunatly I dont own a boat and cant afford one at the present time. I plan to buy a true fishing boat in the future though when were more financially stable. I try to encourage younger kids in the area to fish and take time to help them out when I get a chance. Encouraging catch & release, I have really gotten some into the sport in a responsible and preserving the sport way. Im actually proud of some of them at how responsible they have been and are. Knowing all this about me (the reason I wrote it) should give you some insight about me and my opinions on lures, etc. I am constantly testing things just about everyday I get a chance to. Im really a busy guy though. Thanks for reading.
  19. All were private pond raised Bass west of Lake St.Clair. I taged as many fish as I could and caught close to half of the Bass I taged and transfered them. Bluegill and Sunfish were takin from a pond that was semi-recently built. Size wise, I couldnt give an acre estimate but its no deeper then 20 feet (guessing) but deffinatly atleast 20 feet deep. The pond is shaped like a upside down U..
  20. Detroit, MI. area, 10-miles west of Lake St.Clair. No the Bass were not from Lake St.Clair. I wont touch that body of water in that way.
  21. I taged the fish.. caught half and left the rest.
  22. I agree completely, although I have stocked a pond it was completely dry aside from a couple unwanted pike. Taking Bass from all over and stocking it in one body of water isnt the best idea. Disease is common and will spread faster then then flu does in humans. I also took great care not to ruin its enviroment as well just to save another. I ended up taging multiple fish then taking half of them out. Read my pond rejuvination storys.
  23. Dead Sticking: The art of looking at the water and envisioning a fish eat your bait while you do nothing but wait. You may find yourself putting your ear to the water to hear the fish swim around.
  24. You really cant go wrong with a crankbait. Ive seen very few unuseable (to me) crankbaits out there. More so than any other bait it is your confidence in a crankbait that will catch you fish.. and patience.
  25. Actually while they make my favorite Flat CBs (LVRs) they're patterns are too flashy to be realistic. I find Rapalas patterns to be the most realistic. Their Bluegill as well a few other patterns are right on the money. Only pattern I can really think of that LC makes that looks more realistic is their Arkansas Shiner which is a personal favorite of mine.
