  1. I came across a bag of Sweet Beavers I had from Reaction Innovations that was with my summer stuff. Does anyone on here fish these? The color I have is called Dirty Sanchez and I have no clue as to where I baught it from. I didnt even know I had anything by Reaction Innovations. Can I rig it backwards like my Fat Ikas on Owner 4/0 EWG hooks and weightless or is this too different of a bait? Im betting itd work great backwards love the color pattern on it, it looks like green pumpkin on one side while watermellon on the other all w/ black flake I believe.
  2. I havent used this spinnerbait but just from the looks of it I know it would catch fish, I havent saw a spinnerbait with that exact color, blades and all.. green is killer!
  3. Its alright guys I shouldnt have asked that on here its my problem, as far as skills etc, on paper I only have a GED. I had to drop college and get a job to support my familly. Ive built computers before, ran a gas station as a manager for weeks at a time unsupervised, and can learn anything on my own with little explanation and fast, so a fast learner/self motivated/ leadership skils. Im going out there now but its cold and I aint talking about the weather.
  4. Yeah we were thinkin about relocating to either Texas or Tennessee, my woman loves both places. If we were to locate to either place does anyone think they could get me in somewhere? It would have to be for sure because we really would just pick up and leave. Thanks for all the replys.
  5. Well I dont know where to start I just need a place to vent and this is the best I have right now. I lost my job I have a son and wife to support and bills out the. Michigans economy is awful right now so much for the motorcity our cars are rarely baught like once before, factorys shutting down every where.. im sick of this crap I feel like doing something .
  6. too fast, thx though (cb's)
  7. How long have those been out?
  8. If your a pure power angler braid can be your best friend! Let the women wear the floss :-? In all seriousness I get nervous throwing more pricey lures on something other then braid, as a matter of fact I wont use them on other line and will resort to something else as I always lose stuff when I do use mono/fluoro/hybrid.
  9. I was debating on getting the Supreme and have the President WLPL but if the difference isnt much I dont think I should bother. Does anyone on here own both these? Any noticable difference between the two?
  10. I use 20lb Sufix in moss green almost 100% of the time. A true braided line handles better then any line on the market expecially when fishing with lures. Braid is so easy to handle and is the only line that has never broke on me. I have yet to lose a fish on braid. Ill continue to use lures and pigs worry free about ever losing either because of my braid. Try tieing a Polamer knot to a lure directly using each type of line and watch your lure perform flawlessly with braid while falling short using mono or fluoro.
  11. Welcome, theres been water proof phones out for a couple years now im not the type to have a cell phone though (dont want people contacting me lol) and if I droped it in a 50+ foot dropoff the water can have it. Id go after my LC or MegaBass lures before my cellphone (if I had one.)
  12. I dont know if their popular or not in the boating world but I use to install car audio equipment, yeah yeah it has nothing to do with fishing but they make a battery to handle the extreme loads the brand of choice at the time was a company called Optima. The Optima batterys are very good and I think their marine series is called a "blue-top".
  13. Yeah the Great Lakes can be horrific. I wonder why Triton labled the Tr-21XD as their Great Lakes model. Id primarly be fishing Lake St.Clair, Lake Erie, and Lake Michigan (Lk. Michigan for the smallie state record). Guess I just better save up.. some great opinions though, thanks. Please tell me that isnt your boat on the Great Lakes.. wow. Yeah no way can my son grow up fatherless, if I just have to rent em for awhile id better instead of going and getting a potential half a55 boat that can kill me.
  14. Power Pro is one of the best braids on the market, id check your guides out for any sharp or exposed edges. I had this problem a few years back with a Shimano rod. It would strip away line little by little til adventually it broke. Im a firm believer in the Palomer knot even over the uni. I have never in my life had my line snap at the knot using one and its a must knot imo for braided line lovers, you also might want to give Sufix Performance Braid a try in moss green. Ive used Sufix 20lb test line for Salmon, Pike, Steelhead, LM/SMBass, and even Musky here in Michigan. I have never broke this line once but then again I havent used it for a super long time.
  15. While I dont fly fish and in regards to your price question you usually get what you pay for but not always. It could also help if you shop online where good deals can be found. Here's a couple links I found that will hopefully help you out. http://www.ehow.com/how_13228_buy-fly-fishing.html http://www.flyfisherman.com/ http://www.flyfishusa.com/home.html
  16. I agree w/ the above statement but when it comes down to it they do have the best imo. BUT I love my Pflueger President WLPL to death!
  17. Baitcasting- For price: Pflueger Price not a concern: Shimano Spinning- For price: Quantum Price not a concern: Shimano
  18. I actually use to take side bets with my friends on whod catch the 1st Bass, or weigh a certain weight, and id always get lucky I guess and get em first. Now they wont do side bets with me when I ask they just say game over. The name was born..
  19. Holy Fish! That thing has got to be a trophy. Did you use your braid? ;D Where you from?
  20. Id like to get a boat in the near future, my dream boat would be a Triton Tr-21XD but blowing 40 large on a boat at 23 with a wife and kid just isnt possible. Ive seen two of these on the Great Lakes of Michigan and fell in love with them when I was offered a trip in one. Beng realistic I could only afford 10-15 large at most on a boat and motor. I have no restoration skills so id have to buy it in good condition. My question to you guys is what boats do you guys think would tackle the Great Lakes of Michigan when on the hunt primarly for Small and Largemouth Bass and be in my price range? Thanks, -Eric
  21. That is very nice, you seem pretty talented at restoring things. Good luck with it.
  22. Not to promote violence in anyway but, if you stole from me id kick your teeth in.. then id pray for you. I'm from one of the biggest gutters in the country, Detroit.
  23. Hey Mikey: I tried that stuff before just the Classic stuff. I still have it, I didnt notice any improvement using it. The stuff you have is their top of the line stuff I think which has everything in it. The only attractent ive noticed atleast a little edge from is MegaStrike and its cheap to. You can get a tube of it for 7 dollars. Its gel also so you only need a pinch of it on your bait. I have a tube that isnt even a 1/4 gone and ive been using it a lot. Another good one is a spray on Craw Oil I use on my craw like plastics or craw cranks. It comes in a red aersol can and seems to always be sold out next to the MegaStrike. You can purchase both at Dicks Sporting Goods. Go here and try the store locator http://www.dickssportinggoods.com/home/index.jsp I know this might not answer your question but its just a suggestion.
  24. It all about the Eye of the Tiger, World Series here we come! Were destined for this..
  25. Make me jealous. Lake Amistad what a wonderful lake, some huge fish in there. Just wow.. ive seen stuff on TV from there before but late night last night I saw some really crazy fish. Ish Monroe, KVD, etc Ish won it but wow at the 100 lb marks! You all are very lucky, take great care of a fishery like that.
