  1. Yum Dinger is all I've ever used and all I've ever needed.
  2. Shimano stimula and abu g cardinal. Fly fisging for bluegills ills is an awesome thing to try also
  3. Bitters bait and tackle
  4. Follow the frog up with the tube when you can, especially around docks
  5. Cabelas brand stuff is 20% off, plus free shipping with $99+ orders. Code is 16GEARUP i have a new fly rod in the mail.......
  6. And live target bluegills for under $10.00
  7. Hard to tell, but I would suggest that you spend more time really fishing the bait and paying very close attention. You'll get the hang of it soon enough
  8. WATCH YOUR LINE. I almost always see it move before I feel the bite. Especially when the fish are lazy
  9. Heddeon torpedo in whatever size you want, they will eat any of them. Or one of the rebel topwaters like the pop n' frog, frog r, or pop r. Like others have said, you can get several different colors or varieties of the 'common man lures' for the price of a single whopper plopper, pompadour, or other 'high end' topwater. The jitterbug , pop r, heddon torpedo, and others are classics for a reason.
  10. Does Bass Pro or academy do anything similar as far as labor day sales go?
  11. I like the look of his compact spinnerbaits, but I have no experience with them
  12. KVD 1.5 in chart./black back. I lost it on the next trip out with it. Now its somebody else's turn
  13. Bass pro has 20% off zoom plastics. I hear an order of Z3 worms calling.....
  14. Zoom finesse worms and bottom hoppers/bottom hopper juniors
  15. Baby brush hog is probably my favorite plastic right now. I like to put it on a light bullet weight and 3/0 hook, then cast it into holes in the lilly pads. Don't be afraid to throw it where it is 'too shallow' for bass. I also make long casts down a bank, then fish slowly but steadily all the way back. They go crazy over it some days
  16. Some custom crank baits that I got from a guy who paints them locally. I know they're made to be fished, but the paint jobs on them are wicked
  17. Does anybody know about a Labor Day sale at Cabelas? I'm looking to place a big order (new rod, hardbaits, etc.) and want the get the best deal I can. Thanks
  18. Can't go wrong with any of em
  19. Are they very good quality baits? Do you recommend any specific products?
  20. you could also put a small Gulp minnow or grub behind a jig head and rig it on a beetle spin . Work it slow and you're golden
