Perception Pescador Pro 100 - bump board storage
Fast forward ahead to 13:25 to see how Greg Blanchard attaches his bump board. I don't know if this will work for you but it's another idea. Maybe you can attache some bungies to your crate from the rear tankwell bungie attachment points or use the existing cord.

Favorite Pliers
I totally agree about the hemostats. I have some nice Dr. Slick’s ones and sometimes I just can’t seem get enough leverage to remove a hook.

Favorite Pliers
I use Texas Tackle split ring pliers. They are awesome for changing out hooks.

What are your favorite pliers? I'm looking for some with a sheath and lanyard.

New Curado 70
I started a thread about this a couple weeks ago and a couple people said the replacement is the SLX MGL.

I hope so!

Eastern Ma & New England Area Fishing Reports
It’s awesome you are getting out and catching. We are starting to get some ponds opening up here in the Merrimack Valley. What are you wearing when you kayak with those water temps? You have a a sit on top?

Rapala X-rap Subwalk
I found they also have some smaller 7/16 oz saltwater ones with inline single hooks. The bait monkey made me place another order. ?

The latest sale thread
I did too.

Rapala X-rap Subwalk
Thanks! Sorry I should have used the search function. Just ordered 3 of them to try. Thanks for helping to feed the bait monkey. I can't wait till ice out...

Nice! Are those the XRSB09's (5/8oz) or the XRSB15's (2oz)? What are you throwing those on?

reel recomondation
You might also want to bring your rod into a shop to test the reel with it to see if everything feels comfortable and balances to your liking.

Big PFD for kayak fishing
Another vote for the NRS Chinook. I've had one for 2 seasons and have been very happy. I've also thought about wearing the NRS Chinook for bank fishing. Some guys do wear them when wading in a river. My wife bought me a fly vest from LL Bean for bank fishing but I never use that either. I already had a Sims sling pack.

That looks sweet! My friend the BaitMonkey is wondering if you would share where you bought that rod?- Avoiding the Bait Monkey
I also keep a similar spreadsheet in google docs so I can also access it on my phone when I’m at a store. I also keep prices paid, retailer, specs, colors, depth, hook sizes, model # and color. I keep separate tabs for each type of bait.- Perception Pescador Pro 100 - bump board storage
I have the same yak. Sorry I’ve never used a Hawg Trough so I can’t help you with that. The only thing I’ve seen is the Yak Attack mounting kit and their Bullwinkle. Here’s an idea using the mounting kit and a ram ball mount: Again I’ve never used either. I like the upgrades you have done. Don’t meant to hijack but how did you attach the plier holster and the pill bottle box? Great ideas!- The Bait Monkey Has a Question
That's a deal! Good luck at the show! How do you like that GLX 803c? I've been thinking of getting that one for jigs. I have the GLX 783c MBR and it's great all around.- New Kayak!
I don't know. I didn't make the rules. Every town is different. My town doesn't allow any kayaking in our reservoir. I drive by it everyday and it's a major bummer! The town next door lets you fish in a SIS but only if you are a resident and have a sticker on your kayak. I don't know why it's different. At least the OP can fish his local reservoirs from a SIS.- New Kayak!
It's a reservoir that supplies drinking water for the locals. That's why they don't allow swimming or sit on top kayaks. That's actually pretty common.- The Bait Monkey Has a Question
Good job! Now you just need to buy another rod to go with it. ?- New Kayak!
Congrats on the Kayak! What did you get? Definitely get a PFD and wear it. It could save your life. I have the NRS Chinook and have been happy with it. The pockets are great for storing gear and your phone. Phone goes in a ziplock. Sometimes I put a pack of senkos and a pack of hooks in a pocket and take one rod for a quick trip to the local pond. I am in the camp that likes shorter rods from a kayak. I like a 6’ to 6’6” rods, but you should use whatever is comfortable for you. I wouldn’t be in a rush to buy new rods just yet. Try what you have now and you’ll quickly find out what works for best you. I totally agree with the comment about about shorter handles working better with a pfd in a kayak Enjoy!- The Bait Monkey Has a Question
The Bait Monkey says YES!!!! (You can always sell if you don't like it.)- Kayak fishing net
Which size Kryptek S1 Gensis net do you use?- Crankbait snaps
I use Tactical Angler Power Clips https://www.tacticalanglers.com/products.html#powerclips Either the Micro 25 LB or the 50 LB size. They make it so fast to change baits and easy when your hands are cold. Tactical Anglers is Alberto Knie's company. He is the guy who came up with the Alberto knot. I met him at a fishing show and he is a really cool guy and very generous about sharing his striper knowledge. He gave me some clips too. Have you lost any baits using fly snaps? - Show off your Stuff
