Kayak clothing for cold water
What do you wear while kayaking? The water is still a bit cold here and I am thinking about getting some NRS gear: Boundary boots, Endurance splash pants and the jacket. Anybody else use this stuff or have other suggestions? Thanks!

Replacing crank bait treble hooks with single hooks
You're going to want something like these so they sit right and have a big enough eye for the split ring. https://www.ownerhooks.com/product/single-replacement-hooks-x-strong/ I haven't tried them on cranks, so I can't give you any info on that, but I have used them on kastmasters for trout.

If anyone is looking for a nice paddle, REI has some colors in the Werner Camano paddle on sale for 30% off. Still pricey at $199, but it's super light. I have one and love it.

Shimano Crucial Spinning 6'6" Medium power Fast action
They sound like they would be great for lures weighing 1/4 oz like Pop R's, Zara Puppy, small crankbaits or jerkbaits.

G Loomis Spin Jig Rods.... Worth it?
Is the 782 spin jig good for 5" senkos or are they too heavy? What baits do you use this rod for?

Wading boots for slippery mossy rocks
Thanks! I just bought my first pair of waders which are bootfoots. (Thinking I may hit the beach and try for some stripers here in Mass.) These looks like a great option if I want to hit the rocks. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.

Ticks
I recently moved to an area that has lots of small ponds that are accessible to bank fish if you walk through the woods. The ponds look great. Problem is this area has lots of ticks and Lyme disease is common around here. My neighbor told me she got Lyme her first month here. In addition to Deet and Permetherin, what do you guys recommend to avoid ticks? Are waders helpful?

Nice Fish! Here you go James. I took a few pics for you. I put both black and red clips on so you can see where they fit. It comes with three sizes. There is a smaller yellow one too which is probably for a spinning rod. The black clip did fit onto the handle. I think I might wind up using it that way. I haven't used it yet. It's still too cold here in Massachusetts but the water is starting to thaw around me.

Nice! If you are looking for a hook keeper, I just got the Cali Clip by Cali Coast Fishing. I have the Zodias 7' 2" H and the red clip fit perfectly.

Yak and Trolling Motor - Limiting Paddling For Tendonitis?
Scott makes a good point about making sure you can sit in a kayak for a period of time. I also have a bad back (2 herniated disks) and tried many kayaks before buying one. I would suggest renting one before you buy one. I also was fortunate that a local lake offered unlimited season passes. I was able to rent several types of kayaks, canoes and row boats all season. After a summer of doing this and going to several demo days for brands they didn’t have, I had a good sense of what would work for me. Most didn’t. Some that were supposed to be super comfortable, I couldn’t tolerate. I wound up buying a Perception Pescador Pro. You cant stand in it and it has lousy rod holders, but it gets me out. I’ve seen some videos of people mounting trolling motors. The seat was confortable for me but everyones back is different. I’ve tried the Predator pdl. The seat was confortable on that but its a beast to transport. Another thing for you to think about. Good luck and I hope your back and tendoniitis get better soon.

Looking for Kayak Advice
Comfortable seat and light weight are a rare combination. What kayak do you have that is only 28lbs?
