Good Spook Bait
I am kind of a top water nut, I like trying the new baits that come out and have a bunch of them. In my opinion get yourself a bone colored spook Jr. and call it a day. It might not be the very best, but day in and day out it catches fish. If you just want to spend some money on a good bait, the shower blows shorty by evergreen and the Lucky Craft Gunfish are both good.

Jackall Pompadour...worth it?
Pompadour has a very unique action, if you are looking for something different it would be what I would choose. I have fished the ones I have a few times and have had some missed strikes and few fish in the 2-3 lb range.

Broke a GLX
Don't really need another rod, but a 822S would be fun to have.

Whopper plopper
You're right because everyone knows the spook never works, guess the fish have just seen it too much

Broke a GLX
Fished today, had a C-rig on one of the newer green GLX 854 C. Put it down after using it for a while and tried some top water, when I picked it back up the tip was broken, no idea what happened. Anyway I have three options available for getting it replaced. Option 1. Send it to Gloomis for eval and possible replacement if deemed material defect. If not pay the 125.00 for the replacement. Option 2. Send it in under the expediter program at 125.00 plus shipping and have it replaced no questions asked. and Option 3. Since I purchased it at American Legacy they offer the option of purchasing another rod of equal or higher value and they will replace the broken rod at no charge. Retail is 450.00, second time rod had been used. Looking for opinions

Accidental spool engagement causing gear damage
Yes, check and make sure that the pin in the spool shaft is not bent, if it is change it first. It can cause some problems that feel like a bad gear.

Froggin Setup for under $350
The Falcon Bucoo Amistad which is the 7'3" heavy is $99 and has a lifetime warranty makes a great frog rod. Leaves a lot of money on the table for whatever reel you would like.

Is this an 8 pounder
No disrespect but that fish might still be on menu for an 8lb bass.

BPS Pro Qualifier Adjusting?
Looks can be very deceiving when it comes to casting, might want to walk it off to make sure. The setup of a dual braking reel is a little different than others. If you do a little searching around there should be some good videos and posts on how to properly setup a reel like this.

Subliminal structure fishing?
I think the reason that a subject like this gets so convoluted is that many anglers have different terms for the same thing. I try to stay to the Buck Perry school of thought as it keeps things simple by clearly defining each term. For example Buck Perry would not consider a small pile of rocks structure, it would be considered a break. If you are not speaking the same language it only makes matters more confusing.

BPS Pro Qualifier Adjusting?
In my mind 35-40 yards is a good cast.

BPS Pro Qualifier Adjusting?
Spool tension and magnetic brake settings on that reel are also going to have a large impact on casting distance.

Ned on rods
I don't understand these kinds of post, and you see them almost anytime the Ned Rig is discussed. Why is it that you sound angry, or to a small degree jealous that many anglers have found a system that works and increases the number of fish they catch. Seems like you would be happy that people are enjoying being outside and catching fish. If I took your post wrong I apologize, but I wanted to give you some feedback on how you post presents itself to me.

Dicks may aquire Sports Authority
Hopefully they are better in your area than they are in ours. You could put both of these stores together and still not have much, unless you are looking for $12 socks and $65 sweatshirts.

Mono line
If this is how you store your gear on a regular basis, I am going to say you need to change it very often. If you don't take a little better care of that gear there will be a day when it won't take care of you.

crankbaits that hit 12 15 and 20 foot
Walleye fisherman are very serious about depth when they are trolling. I know there is a book produced that has a lot of the more popular crankbaits and their running depths. I will find you a link. do a search for precision trolling, it may have what you're after.

Help diagnose my problem
Probably not something you are not already doing, but those two stroke motors like to be ran in a level position, otherwise it can cause you some problems.
