Ok @B-Gee, I lived in Naples for 40 something years, The one thing I’ll say is this: don’t forget it hit the golf courses in the late afternoons. I have had the best luck fishing golf course but you have to wait tell they are about to close and no one should bother you. Good luck fishing.

So yesterday I decided to go fishing for the first time during the winter time, I basically just cruise around the lake for the first time to check it out. When I was fishing my hands got real cold, so my question is wow fishing what are a good pair of winter gloves to keep the hand from freezing???

OK now that I have my coat the way I want it my wife and I could use some new life vests. Any suggestions? And merry Christmas

Went to Cabela’s this evening looking to get my Lowrance, When I got there he had a huge sale on Garmin, too good of a deal to pass up. So this is what I got a Garmin ECHOMAP UHD 93sv Fish Finder/Chartplotter Combo with GT54 Transducer. My wife said it’s my birthday gift early.

So if I understand correctly the fishfinder I get for the console should have HDS Carbon that way when I purchase a unit for the bow they will interact with each unit? (I started watching “fishfinders for dummies) This is all knew to me.

Forgive my ignorance, but what is a carbon? My marine electronics is Not up-to-date. My Wife had to get a double transplant these last two years I’ve been out of fishing and out of touch with the fishing world.I did have a hummingbird on my last boat I had but I was not very good at it.

My first choice was the RT 178 but I know I’ll love my tracker because I’ll be fishing again. I was thinking about the 7 inch unit too which your right about the 9 being to big for the boat. Thanks for the advice, I’ll being doing some more research.

I am looking for a good Lowrance fish finder for a 2017 Tracker boat pro team 175 txw console that my wife got me for Christmas. It comes with a small fish finder on a console and on the bow but I’m looking to upgrade the console first. Any ideas would be helpful, and remember I’m looking at Lowrances.

I just bought a 2017 Tracker Pro Team 175 TXW. It’s a Christmas give from my amazing wife. It has a small fish finder on the consul and bow. I’m looking at the Lowrance HDS LIVE 9 Fish Finder/Chartplotter which is on sale at Cabela’s and Bass Pro Shop. ( it would be birthday gift but is in May) Anyway my question is would this make a good consul fishfinder? This is the max I would pay for a fishfinder, I’ll input would be appreciated thank you

Just out of curiosity , if you were to go bank fishing and had three rods to take with you, how would you rig them up??? Thanks for your input, ???

I ended up having foot surgery on the 4th and didn’t get to go. Maybe next year

Does anybody have a canopy on their bass boat? When I get my boat I will have to have one on there. Just wondering how the boat handles with one I guess that’s what I want to know.

I was just wondering, just how hard is it to clean a spinning reel? Just how hard is it?

I myself have a Okuma TCS 7’6” heavy rod. I like it and was reasonably priced. Just saying

I was at a boat show where Denny Brauer was giving a jig seminar, he said that he doesn’t use anything over 20lb Fluorocarbon. What are your opinion on this? And if you don’t agree with what he says, what would you use??? I’m thinking about not using the 20lb fluorocarbon but not sure what I would use. In Florida it’s a no brainer, 60lb braided. But I’m in South Carolina now and don’t seem to need that heavy of line. Anyway again your advice is appreciated.

If I get a new boat before Christmas (which could happen thanks to my wife) is it asking to much for the new lews KVD rod and reel too??? Just wondering

Today I exchange my BPS Pro Qualifier 2 and was seriously thinking about getting another one one when I saw a Lews LFS Speed Spool SS1HA right next to it for the same price. After some thinking I went with the Lews. Did I make the right choice??? Anyway,I appreciate your comments and advice.

Yes and no. While cleaning the Abu I notice that I didn’t like how the brake knob is, or how low the lube port is to put on some grease. And I’m not a fan of the handle nut cover. With all this being said I am sure Abu makes a good reel and is a great company. I’ll probably keep this one but just not get another one.

That and I have a few Lews and like them better. I do have a Abu spinning reel and I do like that one but if Lews sent me one of theirs to try I would take it...
