I was fishing lake Murray the other day (I did not catch anything) my Minn Koda Edge trolling motor worked fine in the morning but stopped working in the afternoon. Any ideas of what this could be? I will say that when I used the side Switch it would work on manual but that was it. Anyway, any ideas would be great

Have some mildew on my seats from lack of care. (I know bad boy) anyway is star brite mold & mildew cleaner the same as regular mildew cleaner? Inquiring minds would like to know, plus there is a big price difference in the two. Thanks for your input.

So I finally pulled the trigger on a boat cover and got the Dowco ratchet boat cover. I have a Bass Pro Shop tracker 175 TXW. It fits very nicely. I still have to fine-tune putting it on, which shouldn’t be to hard, but there is one problem. The transom strap “male end”in my opinion should be Connected to the strap, which to me would make a better fit. I went to bass pro shop, and they said no it needs to have the adjustable strap have a loop formed at the part that is in question. Does anybody have one of these covers and am I wrong? I hope I made sense. Any input would be appreciated.

My wife’s the best. Last year she bought me my bass tracker for Christmas. For my birthday she got me a new fish finder and then spent a week fishing with me at Santee Cooper and Lake Murray. She loves going out on the water with me when it’s not cold. I put in a lot of overtime and she knows how much I love to fish so tomorrow I will be fishing. Y’all are funny though

What a wife I have…the nerve of her to tell me what to do. Can you believe that she told me to go fishing Friday…that’s right flat out told me to go fishing. I’m going to have to listen to her just this time. I don’t want to lose my fish card…

I have a 2018 with a 75 hp and love it. It’s perfect for me and the type of fishing I do. You’ll love it.

@Bdnoble84 I did something with the drag maybe the washers weren’t on right I don’t know, but that’s what it was. I wish you the best and getting a real fixed.

Good news, I fixed it. Not sure what I did but it’s working

As I have posted before, I am cleaning my reels, not a deep clean just a basic clean. Everything was going smoothly until I got to the 5th reel, after putting it back together. The thumb bar won’t reengage. I have taking it apart again, but to no avail. Any ideas? I appreciate it.

I bought 2 xps football jugs yesterday and was wondering how many of us use xps baits? I know there bps baits but still they still seem to be ok. I myself do buy them on a regular basis but not all the time. So if you do use them. What do you like and dislike about them?

I’m trying to figure out if I need a rod in the 7‘6” or a 7‘11” rod for throwing soft swim baits in the 1 ounce to 3 ounce range? For those who fish soft swim baits that are of this weight, give me your opinion. Plus it could be me but throwing glide baits, would work with this rod as well, or not. Anyway again your input is appreciated.

A-jay you’re going to love this one. I feel like an idiot. The good news is I finally found the problem. It is amazing how freely the spool rotates when the line isn’t between the frame and the spool. Amazing I know…🤪

@A-Jay I was not winging it and have watch more then a few videos on how to clean reels 🤓plus I have been cleaning and putting them back without this problem 🤔 I just never had this happen before. @riplips Everything moves but the spool.

So there I am on my board night cleaning my Kvd casting reel, watching a John Wayne movie. I put it all back together, and lo and behold my spool does not move. Anyone have any ideas so why this is happening? I have double checked everything a couple times, and I cannot figure this out, so any ideas would be great. Thank you very much.

I get pulled all the time to check out the fishing department at Wally World. But go home empty handed most of the time. It’s just fun to go check out anything that has the word fishing in it.

What would be a good soft swim bait rod? Swim baits that are 6 to 8 inches long? I would say under $150.00. Thanks for your input

Doesn’t effect my life one bit one way or another. I don’t do tournaments and don’t have the money for it. I do want a nice fishfinder for the bow one day but not going to give an arm and a leg for it. Now if someone wants to give one, I’ll take it lol

My question is, would you buy a boat cover made for the boat you own or would you take a generic boat cover? My asking is because I own a bass Pro tracker 175 DMX. I’ve been thinking on getting the custom boat cover but that is pricey. For my birthday I got $200 worth of Bass Pro shops, gift certificates. The BPS boat cover is less pricey, but does have a four year warranty on it. Now the custom is $470.00 BPS cover is $150.00. Of course, both of these covers are sold at BPS, but I’m just thinking on which one I should get, anyway all your suggestions are appreciated. Thank you.
