How long does line last?
I've had 1500 yard spools of Stren in the basement for over ten years and it's as good as new.

Super Glue
I've never thought about using glue to repair lures. I've just tossed them when they are unusable and grabbed a new one. Guess if I was down to my last couple of baits and had to order new ones I would go the glue route to get a little more mileage out of them.

I lost a part of me today.
Really sorry to hear about your loss. I can't stand the thought of losing my Pom,even though I know that days is coming. My wife says if I had had a dog before I met her I would have never married. And she's probably right. Take care

spam PM
Man I forgot all about fried Spam! Haven't had it since I was a kid,and that's been many moons ago. Of course, I'm pretty sure my cardiologist would have a fit if he knew I was into the Spam. Then again, he doesn't know about the bacon I sneak around and eat:)

I need this
I'd rather just have the tattoo than that ugly lure. And I don't even have any tattoo's!

Swivel or no swivel ?
If I'm fishing river current with an inline spinner like Rooster tails or Mepps I will use a snap swivel to reduce line twist. Anything else is direct tie.

Braided line suggestion
Great! Yellow it is then.

Braided line suggestion
How important is color? I'm seeing greens, reds, yellows?? Seems very confusing, as in over thinking. I just want a solid dependable line for a seldom used outfit that doesn't cost an arm and a leg.

Braided line suggestion
Awesome! Sounds like the majority like PowerPro or Sufix. Definitely will use a flouro leader. Thanks to everyone who commented.

Temp agency's
I feel your pain. You just have to hold on,do the best you can do,and hold every one of them accountable. You cannot control who they send you,but you can control the job site. I'm responsible for all new hire training at my plant,so I get to train the jewels that are sent to me. Just last week I had a group of 13,one of which I named spawn of satan. Horrible attitude,no manners, complete lack of respect, wouldn't participate, tried to sleep(not on my watch you don't),and generally a real loser. When I asked how this person got through screening I got the stare that said hey I hire em you train em. Yeah, the future of the workforce scares the u know what out of me. Very glad that my working life is about over.

Braided line suggestion
Looking for recommendations for braided line for my Shimano Sienna 4000. Primarily will be for saltwater casting from the shoreline at the beach trying to catch whatever will take a lure. Basically this is a vacation rig. Thanks

any aluminum welders.. help
Easy fix for an experienced welder. If I was welding it I would want more of the foam removed as that is nasty stuff when it gets hot. Not trying to scare you but given that the seller apparently forgot to mention this little issue, wonder what else he forgot to tell you about?

Road To The Super Bowl 2016!
Kind of fun to see five of my Buckeyes go in the top 20,but no way is Eli Apple a top ten pick. Like so many others he has the "potential"tag and we all know what that's worth. Tom Coughlin would not have made that pick. Ezekiel is a bona fide beast that should have a few great years barring injury, and Bosa will definitely help the Chargers defense. Then again, anything is an upgrade for the Chargers but still he can dominate if he can become more disciplined.

Holy Carp that's big!
I had an aunt that lived in Florida and fished the rivers there relentlessly. When she died she wanted to be cremated and her ashes spread on one of her favorite rivers. Her rationale? "For twenty plus years I've been eating fish out of these rivers, it's time to let them even the score". Creepy....yep

Latest on Bass Pro Buying Cabelas...
I can still remember the excitement in going to the original Bass Pro not long after they opened. Then Cabela's built a huge store in Dundee Mi which attracted its share of sportsmen. A few years ago Gander opened one of its largest stores just a half hour from me and it always seems to draw a crowd. Like most consumer goods stores I think there's becoming a real saturation issue with so many of the same types of stores. What started out as a specialty market geared towards people who love hunting & fishing has morphed into stores that sell everything from fishing lures to bags of candy to offering sit down restaurants. Guess what I'm trying to say is they aren't so special any more. Bass Pro...Cabela's...Gander Mountain...Field & Stream... How many of the same types of stores are really needed, especially when you can buy pretty much anything you want or need online? If Bass Pro actually does complete the purchase of Cabela's I see it being a negative for sportsmen because BP will be able to control the choices we all have as well as increase prices due to less competition. Preparing larger catfish?
Just soak the fillets in milk for 24 hours, roll them in your favorite coating and fry away.

So much for credit/debit cards with chips......
Guy I work with just got back from a business trip to Orlando. Bunch of them were in a Disney resort place for dinner when one of them said "hey, someone just used my credit card". She had signed up to be notified of any card activity and sure enough, while they were eating someone in the restaurant stole her card number via an RFID scanner. My friend said three people from that same party had their CC hacked at the same time. So I've been researching methods of protecting my cards because if it's that easy I might as well put em on my account!

Baseball's new slide rule
I stopped going to games and even watching BB on TV shortly after the last strike, whenever that was. T ball reminds me of the DH. Or is it the other way around?
