A good quality eye buster
yep small drill bit does the trick every time, use either a dremel or a hand drill. Just make sure that when you drill into the eye if it catches that the hook will not spin around on the bit and drive into your hand......learned that ont the good ole close call way. Harshman

Foot-Control Trolling Motor on a Sun Dolphin
the company that makes these boats made a block to mount to the boat that you can mount your tm to for the pro boat models, I think you could do the same for the sportsman.Or Motorguide now makes a transom mounted foot controlled tm. All you would have to do is spin the head around and it would work great on the front of your boat. they are a little pricy and wouldn't work on a bigger boat if and when you get one. http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_97961_200002001_200000000_200002000_200-2-1 Here is a link to the mounting block I found, not sure if it would work for your boat but it would be a start. http://www.sundolphinboats.com/oz/4/com/fish/pro/pro.html From the looks of it you could make a mount and carpet yourself if you are mechanically inclined. BassHound 10.2 problem
does yours have a thru the hull drain plug?? I had a similar problem with mine and I removed the plug assembly and caulked the living daylights out of it...problem solved. It was allowing water between the layers but not into the boat itself. Mine was on an older boat so taking it back ws not an option but your sounds like a take back or call the manufacturer to me.

LITTLE DIXIE CONSERVATION LAKE IN MO
What you fishing for??? In the spring I have caught bass off of the jetties and there are more cedar trees in the lake than a Home Depot parking lot in December for crappie. Good luck. This lake is where we have our bass resource tourney and get together the last two springs. Harshman

Need some tips on bass jigs
I use both a light gauge wire and a rubber mouse ear collar on all of of my jigs. The wire keeps the skirt in place and the ear collar gives me a place to put rattles. I also second fishingskirts.com great selection to choose from. Harshman
- no fishing here.......

My First Night Tournament......
fished my first night tournament at Lake of the Ozarks on Saturday and what an experience that was..... launch was at 8pm and weight in at 7am. It is amazing how dark it gets once the sun goes down when you aren't used to it and then add fog to the mix and needless to say we fished the same cove all night long :D We ended up with 15.10, not enough to win but enough to learn what we should do next time. Our biggest fish came right after I had taken 30 minute nap around 3 am. My partner had found a good brush pile and woke me up to fish it after he caught a 3lber off of it...his next cast was her twin...I was practically sleep walking hen I made a blind cast into the pile and BAM!!!!! 4.5 lber ;D ;D ;D My partner was sort of ticked about me catching the fish off of the pile...while I was asleep but it was for the team so he laughed it off. I have a huge amount of respect for all you guys that fish a lot of these type of tournaments. Harshman

Skirt Collar's Limits
I've had decent luck with up to 4 pads ( about 80 strands) and a rubber collar. the biggest problem I had was the skirt slipping past the collar on the bait. typically I use 3 pads ( around 60 strands) for all the jigs I make and they seem to work best. Harshman
