  1. I agree 100% I am waiting for the day that Kyle gets put in his place, unfortunately being that he has a good car and team he is still winning . But if you compare him to Juan Pablo Montoya, Juan quite his tough boy crap right about the time he quite being competitive. It would really disappoint me to see a Nascar champion that is nothing more than a brat who needs his behind beat. Harshman
  2. Bite your tongue lad......no one could ever be compared to "Big E" Harshman
  3. Seriously no one has used this yet. I must see this sticker on a daily basis around here ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D so what you're saying is you love her, but you love to fish and you spend all day out on the lake and hell is all you catch............ yet another one I couldn't pass up. ( "I'm gonna miss her" Brad Paisely) Luckily my wife loves to fish as much as I do, heck I always joke that I married her for her boat. We're even preferred customers at Bass Pro shops. All I can say that is if you try to show a little interest in the things that she likes and you try and get her interested in the stuff you like. Relationships are a lot of give and give and give and take. Harshman
  4. I have drilled into the body and added rattle pods like I use on my jigs. Probably not the most efficient way but it works. After drilling the hole and installing the pod I just add epoxy over the hole to smooth out the body. Harshman
  5. I'm not sure, maybe until this coming weekend? Google their store and call would probably be the surest way to find out Harshman
  6. Great Idea Bean, that is a great idea Harshman
  7. 2x individual silicone strands or check out a local fly tying shop they will defiantly have something specifically for that Harshman
  8. From what I understand they are just moving old inventory and making room for new stuff. One of the employees told me that if it was an item that they have not sold one of in the last year they were marking it down. Hope you guys find some deals.
  9. Gas prices are far from regulated....in a ten mile stretch around here you can see a 20 cent per gallon price swing. It just happens that most stations get their gas from the same areas causing prices to stay competitive. I sort of agree with the chain mail though if we were to shop more aggressively at the "home grown" gas stations that rely more on fuel that is not imported it would send a message to the big dogs that we are tired of watching them make billion dollar profits every year. 11. This tourney wasn't on falcon after the Elite series left was it? Any one would have been able to find big dead fish on that lake it sounds like. Sounds like these guys scammed you either way to bad no way to prove it now. Harshman
  12. Both very educational. Harshman
  13. Just wanted to give some of you St.Louis guys a heads up that Gateway Outfitters in Cave Springs in having a huge sale. 50% off on most of their stuff, mostly fishing this weekend. The Bait Monkey and I picked up a ton of stuff during a pre-sale last night for you guessed it half off. This was top of the line stuff, Lucky Craft baits, St. Croix rods, G. Lomis Rods, Shimano and Dawia Reels, Culprit worms, Bombers .....The list goes on and on. They even had a Dawia Steez rod and reel combo for half off. (I had to blind fold the monkey to walk past that one) As a warning it is only on selected items that mostly seem like they have been in the store a year or two but they still had a huge selection of stuff to buy. Happy Shopping Harshman
  14. I have a Bass Hound 10.2 and I absolutely love this boat. My wife and I fish out of it at least 3 times a week. Very Stable and plenty of room. Harshman
  15. Usually a good rule of thumb when inserting an offset hook is to push the hook into the worm until the bend before bringing the hook back out. Most of the time this will keep the offset and the eye of the hook buried properly in the worm. This also works with EWG's Harshman
  16. I think there needs to be a lot more blame put on Denny Hamlin if that blankly blank would have pit like a normal driver would have in that situation Kyle never would have caught Jr. who at the time had the car to beat. I mean seriously who stops on the track after blowing a tire when you have been making cars dodge you for 5 laps already what is one more going to hurt, I think that was a call from the garage to get Kyle back up in contention, they are in the same stable by the way if any one has forgotten. Don't get me wrong I am one of the biggest Jr. fans you will ever meet but after watching the replay 20 times it was just good hard racin....and rubbin is racin. Yes Kyle could have slowed up a bit but Jr could have given him a little more room...... Harshman
  17. Great looking boat...well done. Harshman
  18. WOW.......now that is a rough day of fishing.... Harshman
  19. Is this a legit pattern or did I misinterpret what I was doing? I was able to find some small males guarding the nests yesterday in a local lake fishing from the bank and would cast a shallow running Normans Mad N read ear crankbait about 20 yards past the nest and that would be where the hungry female was waiting with an open mouth. Most of the fish I caught were 17"- 18" long ......and of all days I didn't have a camera. Harshman
  20. that is freakin awesome........... harshman
  21. I love the tequila shad tassel tail 7.5" t-rigged I have caught more fish on this one color than all other baits combined. Harshman
  22. I like to trim one leg a little shorter than the other 1/4" to 1/2". the more you cut off the easier it is to "walk the dog". You also might want to bend the hooks open a little more to get easier/better hook sets, not to much just enough to get the hooks away from the body a little. Make sure you wait a second before setting the hook on this frog make sure you feel the fish load up your line or you might miss a lot of fish.(bending the hooks helps a ton with this thought) I like to fish this frog on a heavy 7'6" rod with braided line. Good Luck and Happy fishing, frog bites are so exciting. <----- that fish was on a Bronzeye Harshman
  23. You can also use rubber pegs that are more or less a shim. Short cone shaped rubber pieces that you insert into the weight and pull through using the fatter end to hold the weight to your line in place. Then simply trim off the excess ad each end of the weight. check out the link below for what I'm talking about. A very cheap way to peg. http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=10151&catalogId=10001&langId=-1&partNumber=30021&hvarTarget=search&cmCat=SearchResults
  24. Just got back from the lake........ The fishing was actually a lot better than last time.....well catching anything makes it better than last time. Quinn, Val , my wife and I were all who showed up. Thanks Val for putting this together even though we didn't fish a tourney we fished any way and caught fish. I'm sure Val and Quinn have much better stories to tell than I since they stayed longer. The wind was to much for me in the Basshound to stay and fish. Harshman
